We were grateful for this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable to stay in. The pool was extremely refreshing and enjoyable. The resturant was clean and good. Do not eat at the resturant at the ruins. Come here to eat lunch or dinner or breakfast. This is a must stay at hotel.

This Club Med-run hotel was highly recommended by the Lonely Planet, and lived up to the recommendation. We stayed one night in August 2004. Small but comfortable rooms (shower, no tub) surrounded a nice, sparkling clean pool. The restaurant was a bit overpriced by Mexican standards, but good. Best of all, the hotel was just a 2 minute walk to Uxmal, the most impressive of all the Mayan sites. There were a few other hotels next door, but the rates here were much lower. Unless you want a big room, there's no reason to pay more. One disappointment was that the TV in the lounge (there are no TVs in the rooms) was broken, so we missed seeing the Athens olympics.
