Travelling from England. This is the second time we have visited this restaurant the first being several years ago. We have visited Cancun twice in the last ten years and on this last visit couldn't wait to return to this restaurant. It didn't disappoint. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside make sure if weather permits you sit out in the garden. At night time you can sit and look at the stars with all twinkling fairy lights set out in the trees really romantic.Food was amazing i had the lobster which was really good and cooked to perfection. Deserts and starters too all tasted amazing. Staff are really attentive and friendly they make you feel really welcome and special.
Downtown Cancun can be a daunting place but it really is worth the visit. Cant wait to go again

I highly recommend dining at LaHabichuela Sunset located in the hotel zone of Cancun. We had a fabulous dinner in a romantic setting on the patio. A table on the patio is a must so you can enjoy dinner under the stars. We started with Soft Shell Crabs Carmen for an appetizer and Caribbean Lobster Tail and baked potato for our entrée. Both dishes were delicious! Oh, don't forget Butterscotch Crepes for dessert. Wow! Our server was wonderful, but I feel so bad I didn't get his name. We were treated like royalty and I can't wait to go back when we visit Cancun again in the spring.

This authentic Mexican Restaurant in Downtown Cancun is well worth the trip away from the seaside hotel strip. It offers both tables in a deligtful outdoor 'Mayan' courtyard setting as well as inside for those who prefer air conditioning. My wife and I had a wonderful meal of soft shell crab and conch chowder soup followed by huge shrimp (scampi) done for my wife in delicious tamarind sauce whilst I had the 'fish of the day' red snapper which was prepared 'armandine' and served with rice and an array of vegetables. All this was accompanied by a selection of fresh breads which kept on coming. I'm sorry to say although the desserts looked wonderful we were simply too full to have one but opted instead for the highl;y enjoyable and rather alcocholic 'Mayan Coffee' prepared at the table with great expertise. The service was nothing short of perfect, the owner Armando is delightful and makes it his business to make sure all of his custoimers are happy. This is definitely on our re visit list for our Cancun trip next year..

Hey, downtown cancun can be a daunting place! we went tot he market el centro, and for an early dinner we picked this great place. Unassuming on the street, it is nicely done inside, with a beautiful charming center courtyard. Yes, you would not expect this nice of a place in the area you are walking through, but take a cab or walk - it's worth your visit while in downtown - and certainly worth it to go here instead of just heading back to the hotel zone. We saw families there, friends, couples. nice, comfortable, unstuffy but well appointed.

Though we had to walk a little from the bus stop, this restaurant was a good choice. I had the classic Cocobichuela which was good. Kind of like a canjun dish with lobster and in coconut milk. My wife had the ceviche which she liked but wasn't super impressed with. The desert was so-so, but the staff was very nice. Since we went in October and ate a little early, we had the place literally to ourselves. If you're looking for good food in downtown Cancun, this is a good choice.
