Wendy was so kind and exceptional! As was Levy and Jael. They were so kind. Jael showed us around the island just to be kind and Levy ensured my drinks were endless on the boat. Such an awesome experience!!!!!!!! Can’t wait to come back and do it again. Levy & Jael were too great !!!!!!

We booked a reef snorkelling trip to celebrate my 50th birthday. I advised when booking through Richie at Riu Palace that I was not confident in the water and a previous attempt at snorkelling had been a disaster. On the day of the trip Richie relayed this information to our guide Ricardo who then not only stayed with me the entire time I was in the water, but towed me around with a float and rope and patiently reassured me during panic attacks. He took the time to point out turtles, a reef shark, rays and dove down to bring up a starfish for me to look at. On return to shore I slipped off the boat, went underwater and lost my prescription sunglasses. Another member of staff on shore, Nathaniel, quickly came to my rescue and managed to retrieve my glasses and helped me back to the beach as I was struggling against the waves. Ricardo and Nathaniel made this trip an amazing experience for me and the highlight of our holiday !

However,towards the end of our holiday I watched a game of beach volleyball from my sunbed. A member of staff from scubacaribe was playing along with other hotel guests. I witnessed him being rude and trying to humiliate the players who weren't up to his standard of play. I felt this reflected badly on the excellent and helpful attitude of all the other staff of scubacaribe and this needs to be addressed. He was tall, with grey hair, long at the back and he wore a baseball cap and I believe his name was Matte.

Scuba Caribe offers a package to transport from the hotel to a water taxi, over to Isal Mujures and back again at the end of the day.

We left the hotel at 10am and arrived at the port in 10-15 minutes, quite close. There we had to wait for 15-20 minutes for who knows what. We then boarded the water taxi which was a top notch boat. The ride over is beautiful and only takes 20 minutes tops.

One of the crew members on the ride over asks all the guests if they are renting golf carts and that he has a friend that will give us a good deal. Once on the island he mentions that his friends shop is closed and takes you to another guy who he says will give us a good rate. that guy wants $1400 pesos for a day rental. We walked around the corner 2 minutes and got a nicer cart for $900 pesos.

Same crew member was holding out a bucket for a tip at the end of the water taxi ride back, but karma bit him with no tip. Don't try to screw over your customers Scuba Caribe!

Also, when our group got back to the port not enough vans were there to pick us all up, so there was a 30 minute wait to get another van in.

I probably wouldn't use this service again knowing what I know now about this company.
