Having seen the reviews and as we were staying in close proximity, we decided to try Cambalache. It is located in the Plaza Forum shopping centre on one of the busy areas of Cancun. We had the calamari to start, which were delicious. I had a bellini which wasn't very cold when it came out but I mentioned to our waiter David and he happily changed it. For the main we had the suckling pig which was tender and a generous portion for two, we also ordered sides of chips and creamed spinach. Everything was flavoursome and David Angel's attentive, friendly, but not over-the-top service made the meal all the more enjoyable. We finished the meal with a 'French Coffee' each, which was a perfectly-executed performance of flames and liqueurs. Thank you David.

Sure, Cambalache offers an amazing array of meats (The Suckling Pig, Lamb, fish, dessert coffee's are off the hook!) but what sets them apart is their amazing service. It's always a pleasure visiting Cambalache - we made two visits during our week stay at the beginning of December, 2013 and David Angel helped make our experiences one's to remember. Thanks David, and thanks to all staff. We'll see you next time.

Cambalache, or the Argentinian Big Steak House, posses the quality of food and staff that you just don't find in the U.S. anymore. My fiancee and I had the lamb (wood fire grill) with asparagus + mixed veggies and their homemade potato dish. The portions are crazy-sized so we were able to share AND have left-overs. What sets Cambalache apart, however, is the service. It's attentive without being pushy, engaging without showmanship, and respectful of your time and desire for a good meal. If and when you go, ask for David (you won't be disappointed).

Great steaks, great wine, good times. Just watch how much you drink because you can easily rack up a $8,000 peso bill...LOL

This restaurant is a favourite of ours from a long time ago. There is one in Mexico City as well. It is an Argentinian style meat restaurant. A cut not very familiar in North America is the Skirt Steak - it is a must try. It is tender - served on a grill with grilled onions and grilled chiles - a bit spicey for the weak of heart. There are 2 sizes - the 800gm was enough for 3 people. The meat melts in your mouth and is so tasty. In addition to that we ordered the BATATAS SOUFFLE - or souffle potatoes - this is a cool dish. the potatoes are blown up and served in a basket made out of potatoes. The restaurant is located in the Forro Plaza upstairs - its like a steak house design - a bit dark - nice bar. Servers are very attentive. Dessert ( the cheesecake) was massive and really delicious. Highly recommend for a good meal.
