Our first visit to Selvatica was in March of 2009. We returned again in March of 2017. Both visits were excellent experiences. Our 2017 visit we had "Cousin Jamie" as our lead guide. Jamie and his team were dedicated to making our experience an extremely pleasant and safe adventure. We did the "Extreme Canopy Adventure" and had a blast. We had ten different zip lines and all were a lot of fun. After the zip lines we took a brief ride in a truck to the cenote and took a swim for about 45 minutes. Truck ride back to the facility and they served us a lite lunch and shared photos and videos from the events.
I strongly recommend this activity. Other than the cost for the actual adventure, we paid $10 for the use of a storage locker ($5 is returned to you when you return the key), we tipped the guides around a 15-20% tip. A beer to go with your lunch will run you $5.00 plus tip. And oh yea, don't forget a few bucks per person for the shuttle bus driver. You will have several photos taken. They do an amazing job with the video and photo options which can be pricy, but the memories of the experience are well worth it.
One of the reasons we like the tour so much is because our group had roughly 25-30 participants. That is important to understand because you do not wait 30 minutes at each zip line. Sure, you may have a 5 minute wait on one or two, but keep in mind they have move the group of guides ahead of the group to keep everyone safe.
Thank you "Cousin Jamie" for the great time. We will return again during a future visit to Cancun.
