Every possible aspect of this hotel is superb. Food, cleanliness, standard of rooms, staff etc etc are all perfect. A real once in a lifetime place, oozes luxury yet has a charming feel of friendliness and character. The view from the pool can easily touch the soul, this hotel may be expensive but you really do feel like you're in a different world

We visited the Hyatt Zilara in June 2014 on part of our honeymoon and it was by far the best hotel I have ever had the privilege of stopping in. As many of the reviews already state the food is exceptional and with the numerous restaurants there is no lack of choice, even if you don’t fancy a full meal or would just like a snack the coffee bar has a range of fresh wraps and cakes to choose from and Tony who works in there couldn’t be any more helpful.
The rooms are amazing the cleaners work tirelessly to ensure the rooms are immaculate and the mini bar is stocked up every day with branded soft drinks and alcoholic drinks, the hot tub in the room is a great touch as is the hammock or swing on the balcony.
Some of the reviews on here mention about not been able to get a cabana I can honestly say every day me and my wife got sunbeds in the pool and a cabana without any problem and I’m not one of the people who get up at 5am to reserve a bed.
All in all I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone the staff food and all round experience is phenomenal.

Room Tip: Ask to be put on level 6,7 or 8 as you will be able to enjoy the view alot more.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Hyatt Zilara Cancun last week. The service was exceptional, both friendly and efficient. The food was great, and the facility was incredible. If you are looking for a wonderful experience as a couple or with your adult friends, this is the place to go. The only opportunities for improvement that I can even suggest is that the restaurants that require reservations fill up very quickly. We only managed to get reservations to one of the three restaurants that require them. However, we were always able to find very good options on the property. The other item was inconsistency in the various bars in their inventory of premium brands. My drink of choice was only available at Asiana, but again, the other bars had other good choices. Hyatt Zilara was not inexpensive, but it was definitely worth the money that we spent. We look forward to coming back again!

Room Tip: All rooms are ocean view. If you are concerned about noise, avoid the middle nearest the lobby. Ma...

We are stayhing here as i write this review....great hotel and service! We noted earlier comments about chair hogging and lack of information about activities. Although guests do indeed put towels on the chairs, there are ample places available to enjoy the pool or beach....maybe just not your favorite spot. it is a rude practice.

There is a nice electronic display in the lobby showing the days activities...located towards the elevator area on the wall. Also we were given a list of restaurants and evening programs when we checked in.

And the service and attention is impeccable. Each employee here offers a welcome smile and an offer to help or direct you as you need. We asked how to get to the gym, and he ...Solomon...walked us there and gave us a guided tour of the area. his actions are representative of every employee here. Truly a place to enjoy and appreciate the luxury.

I have just returned from an 11 night stay at The Zilara and enjoyed the holiday of a life time. The location is amazing and the hotel is beautiful. Very large, traditional Spanish rooms which are all ocean view. The maids keep your room perfectly clean, changing towels and toiletries every day. At turn down in the evening they even light incense candles, All rooms have jacuzzi baths which generally over look the beach which is amazing.
The mini bar in room is stocked with premium brand soft drinks ( fanta, coke, sprite etc) and you also get beer and wine. There is also a pull out liquor cabinet with barcadi, rum and vodka.
I have read many reviews about the excellent quality of food and would agree but do think there is room for improvement. Pelicanos is the pool side restaurant which serves a range of traditional Mexican seafood, build your own burger, salads etc. I don't like to complain but the food was always served Luke warm and this is the only place that you can get fries which were always served Luke warm and soggy, please serve hot, crispy fries!
Spice restaurant is the buffet where you can dine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast is amazing, everything you could could want or need and so fresh. Lunch serves beautiful seafood, the only niggle I have about the restaurant is there is always a strange smell which needs to be addressed. We also ate as Asianna which is a mix of Chinese, Thai and Japanese food, I would recommend booking as they do show cooking which must not be missed! The Tapas restaurant was also lovely with a great choice but they only open for dinner which I think is a mistake as this would be great for lunch. I was a little disappointed with Marie, Marie as read so many reviews which gave such high praise but the food was always served Luke warm and tiny portions!
I have to agree with other reviews about the pool, cabana situation, unless you get up at 5 then you don't stand a chance! What I found totally unacceptable was people were putting books, magazines and towels on the cabanas from 23.00 the night before. I really think this hotel needs to adopt a rule that reservations are not allowed before 8 am and should be supervised by security to prevent people from hogging all the beds, we too observed that some beds were not even used in a day yet had personal belongings on them all day.
The lovely thing about this hotel is the staff, my favourite was Eduardo at Pelicanos poolside bar, he is the ultimate bar man! He runs the bar like a well oiled machine, he remembers your drink preference and most of the time you don't even have to ask as you swim up he is making your favourite drink! He is a real asset to this hotel. I would also like to mention Reyes who served us on the beach and buy the pool, always smiling and so efficient, nothing was too much. Raphael was also great who cleans your sunglasses. Erik in spice was also fantastic, such a nice, sweet guy again nothing was too much.
The staff are what make this hotel so special, so even with some niggles about the food and cabanas, I would still come back to this beautiful hotel!

Room Tip: Request a high floor so can enjoy an even better view of the beach.

Traveled to Cancun for a quick birthday getaway over the 4th of July weekend. Had a wonderful experience at the Hyatt Zilara. I couldn't have asked for a better trip!
The resort is very well kept, clean and beautiful. The beach is absolutely gorgeous.
The hotel staff were excellent, all the food and drinks were also excellent, from the restaurants that required a reservation down to the buffet. There was always plenty of staff around the hotel and on the beach to take care of our needs. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating.
I can't wait to get back there, and wouldn't dare stay anywhere else due to possibly being disappointed if it didn't live up to the Hyatt Zilara!
I want to mention a couple of the employees that really stood out and made my trip an unforgettable one! Alberto who works as a server inside the buffet as well as outside at Pelicano's, and Guadalupe who we had the pleasure of helping us with drinks on the beach out by the cabanas. Both these two individuals were absolutely excellent. Very helpful, and always had a very contagious smile on their face, that put a smile on mine!

This was our first visit to Cancun and the all inclusive package. We found the staff at the Hyatt to be very friendly and willing to assist in any way possible. The restaurants were outstanding, the ocean bluer than blue and if you didn't want to walk down to the beach, there were several pools.
Of course the alcohol was plentiful and if you didn't see your particular brand in your room, all you had to do was leave them a note and they would bring it. Every evening our bed was turned down, fragrant candles and a room that faced the ocean. In the evening they have entertainment incuding a Circus Soleil type (sorry for spelling). Highly recommend the Hyatt

Room Tip: Recommend upgrade to Jr suite, faces ocean, jacuzzi, a few additional perks
