From the bedrooms to the public areas to the pool to the beach every aspect of our stay was wonderful, the staff were so lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The food in all the restaurants was first class and the choice was amazing. we would be happy to recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone.

We stayed from monday march, 17th through the 24th in 2014 at the hyatt. There was absolutely no signs of the change over from the royal when i was there. This place is stunningly beautiful. When you go to check in, they give you a glass of champagne and do everything for you. Before i went, i was told by previous travelers that the staff at the Hyatt treat you like royalty... YOU AINT A KIDDIN. Ive had people tell me about other resorts and how their all like that, THERE IS NO WAY the other cheaper resorts treat you this good. No way what so ever. And the food, the food is beyond delicious. Never did i find something i didnt like. We ate at all of the restaurants in the resort except chefs plate and tipenyaki (or however you spell it). Chefs plate you cant go into unless your a "high roller" and we didnt get a reservation in for the other one so didnt get to try that, but judging by the asiana restaurant and sushi bar, the tipenyaki restaurant would have been devine and entertaining.

The whole building is beautiful from top to bottom, front to back. The rooms are no exception. We stayed on the fourth floor and had a slightly bigger room, but was in other rooms and their all pretty much the same, perfect and spacious and beautiful view. Most trips i take, i hate spending time in the room itself, but here, it was so nice i spent time hanging out in the room and on the balcony. A couple of the nights i even fell asleep and slept most of the night in the provided hammock on the balcony. Oh, and when you walk into your room for the first time, they have a bottle of wine and a couple apples sitting waiting for you to sit down and unwind from your travels. Pop that bottle open and jump in the Jacuzzi in the room and relax. Plus, there is a minibar that you can eat and drink out of, and it doesnt cost anything (hence all inclusive) like most other places do. Plus, room service is great (and free as well). I recommend the brick layer style eggs and an order of french toast. The french toast was awesome.

As for the beach and pools, amazing as well. The beach was always so clean and neat. Plenty of chairs out there for you. The pool was great. Loved (LOVED) the swim up bar. Spent alot of time there. lol. Only warning i will give you is if you want a cabana, get down there early. Nobody will steal yours if you lay something like a towel or shirt or a book, but if you want one, get down there early. I was up at 5:30 one morning to watch the sunrise, happened to look down, there were already people claiming cabanas.

And for the staff, they will do anything for you it seems. You couldnt get better service, im being serious. Always with a smile, most of the time with a hand over the heart slight bow. And i didnt tip much when i was there, from time to time i did, but not every time someone brought me a drink or i ate, and they still treat you great even if you dont tip. But trust me, their service is well worth a decent tip. By the 4th day, some of the bartenders knew my drink of normal choice, and by the 5th day, almost all of them did. And they keep the drinks and food flowing. Mariam waitressing at the bar in the lobby, shes non stop checking on you, and thats a good thing. Nobody had an empty glass, not once. And the waitress out on the beach named Daisy, almost as soon as we would come out of the ocean and sit at the beach loungers, she was there checking on us to see if we needed anything. Always ontop of our needs. And then you have the people in the activities hut (which by the way, they have alot of fun things to do in the grass hut by the pool on the north end, and most of its free, check it out) were awesome. Loved playing games out on the beach like horse shoes and some game, cant remember the name, started with a b and was kinda like horseshoes but done with balls. Hobal and Robo were always so much fun. Either doing the games or chatting with them. They were always helpful with anything we needed as well. And careful, Robo puts on a cocktail class, and there is a test at the end. PAY ATTENTION DURING THE CLASS. ha, cuz its pretty tuff. "gong pie" Robo.

All in all, i could list off individual things that were great for my summary, but ill just say the EVERYTHING was great. I will definitely be going back to this resort again. Hyatt Zillara in 2015.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms are great. I was in a few of them and even the standard rooms are immaculate and have a great view and even better service. I see no reason to book the "high roller" rooms, unless thats just how you roll.

From the minute you walk into the foyer you know this place is all class! There is not a single employee at this resort who doesn't go above and beyond to make sure you're having the time of your life! Gorgeous and clean from top to bottom. Every restaurant, bathroom and hotel room is spotless. The workers are quite unobtrusive, you hardly know they're there. Food was delicious , and I can't say enough about the buffet! You could eat there everyday for a month and not have the same thing twice. The beach was absolutely stunning, soft sand and big fun waves! I would have given five stars but...... The house wine, it's beyond dreadful!,, red, white, champagne, doesn't matter. All of it is simply un-drinkable. I overheard many patrons complaining of the same thing. For what you pay to stay here it's not a lot to ask for at least something you can consume, Hyatt is a huge corp. I'm sure they could work out something with a winery to feature at there locations. I'm not a wine snob, but I really don't drink mixers and can only drink so much beer. PLEASE change your wine! That's the only complaint I have of this resort. I would not hesitate to send anyone here, also if you're looking for a late night party scene this is not it. Lovely entertainment, but winds down around midnight. After all the sun and fresh air we barely made it to eleven!

Room Tip: Higher up, don't upgrade, all rooms gorgeous and views are stunning!

Just returned from Hyatt Zilara after 10 fantastic days holiday with my husband and my two sons. We had two suites on 6th floor, the rooms were amazing and kept extremely clean, housekeeping did a great job. The view was stunning.

The food choices never disappointed, and although we tried Maria Marie and Asiana, we were really content to eat at Spice (self serve) and Pelicano's (waiter served) most of the time, both of these are great restaurants with more than enough choice. The Ceviche at Pelicano's was excellent. The coffee lounge is great for early mornings with a huge selection of coffee, pasties and cakes. The Sports bar was also a family favourite with its self-serve bar and freshly made guacamole and chilli in the afternoons, and early evening. There really is something for everyone.

There were always plenty of cabana's and sun loungers around the pool and on the beach and the drinks service was great.

I would recommend the Hyatt Zilara in a heartbeat, and would count it amongst some of the best 5* hotels I've stayed in, including Cape Town and London.

The staff were always happy to go the extra mile. Well done.

Room Tip: All the rooms are fabulous!
