It was awesome to see and hear about the Mayan ruins But I would recommend renting a car and going so you can swim in the ocean.

“Breathtaking!!!!”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

We did a tour of Tulum with a guide, which lasted about 45 minutes, and then we had almost 2 hours or so to do some sight seeing on our own or we could go swimming in the ocean. They had one part of the beach closed because some sea turtles had laid some eggs so they were protecting those. But the ruins were just astonishing to see in person. You do alot of walking on rough grounds at time, so comfortable shoes are a must. It's very hot so take lots of water and the restrooms are no where close unless you want to walk back to the shopping area. The views from the top of the cliffs were simply beautiful.

After we went on a great tour, our tour guides took us here to shop around for great souvenirs to bring home! We loved it!

“Tulum Ruins”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

Amazing, the life of the Mayan people-while not quite as elaborate as Chichenitza, Tulum is still extremely interesting and don't forget to go take pics from the ruins on the cliff, overlooking the ocean and the beach
