My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary here and chose to have a special tasting menu. The chefs presented us with an elegant and beautiful menu which was accompanied by an appropriate wine. The food was delicious and plentiful, as my wife and I were continuously amazed at the flow of the meal. From the first sip of Moët and Chandon, to the last spoonful of goat cheese ice cream and port, my wife and I will remember this night forever.

Ignacio our waiter, was the definition of a knowledgeable and Michelin class server. It also meant a lot that the chefs both came out to meet us. A VIP experience to be had at least once. Michelin star worthy!

This is the only restaurant in the Paradusus Hotel that is not part of the " all inclusive" package and we were lucky enough to enjoy a complete dining experience without staying at this magnificent Hotel !
Upon entering the hotel you are immediately in a different world from the 4 story hanging vines and lighting that is mesmerizing .
When we entered the Tempo restaurant we were greeted as if we had been there many times before .
As you are escorted to your table take in the design and decor of the room is so relaxing and soft on the eyes .
We chose to have the wine pairing eight course offering and we were soooo glad we did .

The wines were perfectly paired with the different courses .... I can not describe the individual courses because I will not do them justice but trust that each of the courses were delicious and unique in flavor and the plating was presented with " flare" and each course was described as to what spices were used in the preparation and where the wines were from and why they were paired .

The service ... We are from New Jersey and dine in New York often and have eaten in some of the top restaurants in Manhattan and the service here was superb in every way ! As I stated we had already felt welcomed when being seated but our waiters , Samuel and Webster were outstanding and knew when we needed attention before we did !
Max, who was one of the managers came to our table to welcome us during the meal( and at the proper time ..not when we were eating!) and was warm and friendly and added to our feeling of " being there before"
Being " foodies" we were asking our wait staff questions about some of the specific spices and how some of the fish and meat dishes were prepared and when the THREE deserts were being served they had asked the chef to come out to meet us ! Pelipe was from Chile training in Cancun under Chef Berasategin. He was so excited about his work and what he was able to offer to the guests and had a genuine personality.
Enough said ...... If you want the best that Cancun has to offer do NOT miss the Tempo dining experience .. And by the way the cost was not exorbitant at all!

Service was perfect, and wine pairing is a must with tasting menu.
We really enjoyed every one of the dishes served. Their stuffed tomato was simply heaven, one must try to believe it. The sea bass, the veal tenderloin... And the final mojito, that was quite unbelievable!
We had done the Wine Tasting with Mr. Carlos Duarte (hotel sommelier) days before the dinner, it really helps you to enhance your dinner experience.
Tasting menu with wine pairing for two plus charges was almost USD300, but we used our USD150 hotel voucher for dinner.
Comparing to Passion by MB at Paradisus Playa, I found that Tempo is better in many ways: food quality, presentation, decor and mainly the service.
Tempo has the wow factor.
