“Average museum”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

Average museum, only one floor. A few rooms with artefacts. Most signs in Spanish, no English translations. The archeological zone that is on the territory was closed, due to recent heavy rain in Cancun (flooded). No opening date was provided

“Impressive building”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

Located along main thoroughfares, the architectures are impressive. You have to give more time to see the displays. They will surely give you lots of information about the ancient civilization of Mexico's exotic aboriginal roots.

Dislike- Not every presentation had an English translation available but most did,

Like-Great presentation of Mayan artifacts in a new facility that is easy to reach by bus from any resort/hotel in Cancun

“Built for the locals, but MUST SEE for tourists!”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

57 pesos only. No American or credit cards, MUST SEE! We've been coming to Cancun for 26 years and FINALLY they have erected a museum of the region's Mayan history! It sits 3000' above sea level and has a great collection of artifacts. I most loved the burial pieces, and the exquisite detail of the carvings. Outside is a true excavation of an ancient village climaxing in a small pyramid. I highly recommend this museum!!
