“Same souvenirs, less harassment”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

First,

I'd like to say that there seems to be some confusion with the reviews on this site. Some are for Tulum, an archeological site that is NOT in Cancun (about 1.5 hours south) and some are for Tulum Avenue, a street in downtown Cancun. This is for the street downtown.

We lucked out and visited during Three kings day, a christmas related holiday, so there was a lot of activity on the streets. However, the shops themselves didn't sell much that was unique or that you couldn't find in the hotel zone. There was much less annoying sales pressure though, so that's reason enough to go.

Regular downtown, shops etc. Good to see but not much to buy. There are some good restaurants if you can find them.

“Beautiful”

Much smaller than other sites I have visited but being next to the water makes it worth it. Our guide talked way too much in one spot but once we started walking around there are some great views so don't forget your camera. Don't buy the bug spray the try to sell you at the entrance, its not worth it.

“Big line burning in the sum”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013

The ruins are awesome to see. But the staff is not organized, and we had to stay one hour waiting in a line in the sum in a very hot day. That's why it was not perfect. But anyway, I recommend a visit there if you go to Cancun.
