Owner description: The only TPC Licenced property located outside of the United States, TPC Cancun at Cancun Country Club is the new standard of excellence in Latin America. Attention to detail, world-class service and amenities, and a professional, friendly staff-the hallmarks of private golf clubs throughout the world, until now. TPC Cancun provides a private club experience to each and every guest. Environmental awareness was integral to the design and development of TPC Cancun. Special care was taken with sensitive flora and fauna indigenous to the region, while designer Nick Price incorporated naturally occurring water features and elevation changes into his world-class creation. The course boasts wall-to-wall Platinum Paspalum, the Cadillac of grass in this region, as well as 84 bunkers and 5 lakes. Mr. Price succeeded in creating within each hole a challenge for golfers of all abilities. Located just minutes from the main Hotel Zone, Cancun International Airport and 25 minutes from Playa Del Carmen, playing the course is as convenient as it is memorable. TPC Cancun, the new standard of excellence in Latin America.

“Awesome golf course, horrendous mosquito problem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

My wife and I were in Cancun the week of June 2rd. We’re avid golfers and wanted to play at the TPC Cancun as a result of hearing its new and a challenging course. On the day of our Sunday arrival it rained for hours every day through Thursday, something unusual for the area. The course is located inside the Cancun Country Club, which is still in its infancy stage of development and construction. The actual course itself is complete but the Pro Shop still lacks some finishing touches. The last day of rain was Thursday morning and we were told the course would likely be open for play on Saturday and made a tee-time.
On our arrival we were greeted in the parking area by a swarm of mosquitoes that were larger than those we have in Texas. We warmed up on the driving, chipping green and putting green, all of which are great, and although the mosquitoes were fewer in numbers, they were still present. We teed off hole #10 because Honda was sponsoring a golf tournament that day. We were constantly disturbed by mosquitoes in the tee boxes, fairways, and greens, even after we applied “Off”, which we bought at exorbitant prices at the Pro Shop. On hole #12, the mosquitoes were so many that it was difficult to take a shot, and when you did, it was usually a bad one due to lack of concentration. When we got to the #12th green, we agreed playing in those circumstances was not fun and decided to quit.
At the Pro Shop we asked the lady for a refund, but she explained all she could do was offer a “rain check.” I explained it would be of no value because we live outside the country and don’t know when we will be back. After much discussion, we were granted a complete refund, which we are grateful for because the green fees are high.
What little we saw of the golf course is absolutely awesome with respect to layout, scenery, and quality of fairways and greens. Also, it is definitely a course designed for pros. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging game, but only if it has not rained as much as it did when we were there.

“Beautiful location”

The staff was very nice and helpful, the course was beautiful, but it was a bit pricey. The course was a little difficult to play but still very enjoyable.

“First Time playing at the TPC in Cancun Country Club”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

Last weekend we played the Course for the First time and it was first class. From the Arrival Experience passing Security to the person attention when we parked it was very good. The Course was in great shape and the greens where in very good condition. I was surprised to only see a few players at this great course but of course will not complain as it allowed us to play very relaxed and we actually had a great chance to talk about the course , the layouts and so on. Only recommendation would been some better Highway signage and sign actual leading to the course thumbs up even at the practice facility ice cold waters was offered which is not very common here in this region.

“Very good course.”

They come to your villa with full van service pickup and drop off. Course has deep bunkers. If you get into them you have some work to get up and down. Good challenging course.

“Best in region already”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2013

I played here 2 days in a row. Adjusted for only being open a year it's outstanding. But even in absolute terms its terrific. I say that in part because I really value a great practice facility and believe me they have that now. Huge driving range , new balls, big horgame facility. My index is 6.4 and I still played the most forward tees at 6378 yards.(7500 from the tips) The fairways are generous to help offset all the bunkers. The greens are slow but perfectly manicured. That is the nature of course of this saltwater friendlygrass strain. Not much trouble in front of the greens , most greenside bunkers are right or left. Being about 3 miles from the ocean it is not as windy as Iberostar golf club in the hotel district. Winds run 5-20 vs Iberostar's 15-30. Of course no ocean views here.
Staff was very friendly and engaging , Armando and Santos in particular . Cart girl didn't have any bananas so she radio'd the shop and they brought me out one. ......great value also The Royal Resorts ( I was at the R Sands) has an arrangement with the club . Taxi to and from ( showed up on time both days) , range time , water and cart for $125.00 US. twenty minutes to get there 25 back ( long drive to first u turn spot ). I play a lot at Iberostar because its so convenient to the hotels, but if had it to do over I'd play here everyday .So much closer than the good tracks nearer Playa del Carmen
