This resort Is the Bomb!
Check in - at 945 pm, a little late they Gabe us a room on 0 floor. I asked for upper level ocean front room. I didn't see the ocean. Called the front desk and asked them to switch my room to a ocean front higher level because I don't see the ocean. 5 minutes later the awesome bellman took us to the 6th floor. Amazing view.
Breakfast buffet - you can't go wrong with breakfast buffet. They have healthy options and American and Mexican breakfast. VERY GOOD for a buffet.
The waiters at the buffer are very efficient also. Beach service was very good, no complainnts. The hotel was clean and nice. The gym is clean and always empty:)location is good, the beach has alot of rip current, but there are areas where it is safer to swim and you can tell by which area of the beach is more crowded. There are life guards and securities at the beach. I saw them save people 3 times in a day.

Check in was nightmare (hot room with cheap horrible drinks). Food was great or horrible, service too. The Pool was great, drinks at pool bar better then others. There are better places then this not a 4 star!

I loved this hotel. Big resort feeling, relax but with ambience all over the hotel.
The service is beyond amazing, the food is outstanding, the breakfast is beyond your imagination, they offer everything, from meats to eggs to healthy juices. The tacos and margaritas are the best!!!! We went every single day. At the pool ask for Luis. And also go to Zumba classes with Lalo. And for the Kids they have the Kids Zone....where you can leave your kids so they can do activities during daytime if they wish yo go. Este hotel es el paraiso.

The hotel was attractive and the pools were nice. This is a very child friendly hotel. One of the main restaurants that we wanted to visit was not open for the whole week. Restaurants are difficult to visit if you don't pay the extra for concierge service and require booking 36 hours in advance. The food was advertised as international but truly was not. We did not like most of the the food and it was not kept particularly hot. In rainy weather, some of the rooms leak (ours did). There were ample beach towels provided and plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Entertainment was provided at night and was good. We had a good time with our family but would not choose this resort again. We did research this resort on tripadvisor before we booked it but I definitely would not rate this hotel as five star.

My wife and I stayed in two rooms at the Paradisus Cancun with our 4 boys ages 2-15 years old and loved it. In fact we liked it so much that we're going back to their sister resort Paradisus Playa del Carmen for my wife's birthday (without the kids) in 3 months.

The facilities were beautiful and immaculate with a veritable army of people working to ensure that our stay was wonderful. Having the 24 hour room service and all day buffet meant that we could set the kids loose without any concerns that they would go hungry. There is also a nice range of restaurants that you can make reservations at, which serve casual family food to formal adults only gourmet meals. That combined with the very large and safe grounds made us feel very comfortable that they could go amuse themselves for hours at a time without us needing to worry at all.

The concierge staff is ever present at several desks throughout the facility and people like Christian Hadad go out of their way to ensure that you find the coolest (and most affordable) excursions, steer you to things that fit your personality and avoid things like bars in town full of drunk college students (unless that’s what you’re looking for…) Christian even called us from his house to make sure we had all the info we were looking for on a whale shark excursion – I’ve stayed at several Ritz’s and Four Season’s in Hawaii and Central America and the staff is of equal or better quality and attentiveness.

On the food front we have several picky eaters in our group and several with severe food allergies. We were introduced to the managers of several of the restaurants and the wait staff were all excellent in helping steer us to safe choices. Food was delicious, fresh and very healthy with a huge range of options.

Cancun is a beautiful (and SAFE) area for tourists, the major highways on and off the peninsula have military style checkpoints and there is a noticeable police presence everywhere in town. We did boat tours, jungle tours and also visited a couple local CrossFit’s. Despite what you may read, the water is 100% safe to drink in Cancun and we drank tons of tap water as well as the toddler swallowing tons of pool water at the swim up bar ;)

Every night at 8:30 there was a show which was very entertaining. Not quite of the Cirque du Soleil caliber but for a free 30 minute show it was very impressive. Ranging from folk to pop music and dancing to acrobats depending on the night.

They do offer a time-share sales pitch but it is very low pressure and it’s easy to bypass if that’s not your thing. Full disclosure, we did sign up for it. For a family our size I calculate that in the future it will only cost us about 20% of the full retail cost for the 6 of us to stay in much nicer/upgraded suites compared to staying in the two spacious hotel rooms as we did this time. Riccardo and his boss Victor were very nice, low pressure and super accommodating.

There was a very wide range of people from all over the world but definitely mostly people from the Americas with a few from Asia and Europe. The crowd was more refined than a place that caters to college spring breakers and there was a mix of honeymooners, families and singles. The two huge pool areas were separated into all ages section and a dedicated adults only side.

Leaving 20 peso (about $1.50) tips here and there definitely makes the staff love you even more ;)

Bottom line is you’ll love it if you go.

My wife in I stayed at the Paradisus from May 23-27 2014. We were greeted by staff at the front door and led to the Royal Service check-in. We were greeted by Natalia and Victor. These two will sacrifice nothing to make you happy. Our room was not ready (arrived at 12PM) so a room was provided for us to relax in until ours was ready. After a early (3am) leave from our house, it had been a long day already, so we decided to hit up the La Palapa for some snacks and drinks. This is where we met two of the most AWSOME servers in the world. Fransisco and Roger. They were the waiters on the beach for that day, but while sitting at the bar, we would make casual conversation with them. Once our room was ready, Melissa, came and showed us to our room Luxury oceanview. She proceeded to provide us details about our room and helped with anything that was needed. Little did we know, the our server on the beach for the next several day would be Fransisco; we did not want for ANYTHING!!! This resort is more than we ever expected. If staying in Royal Service, look for the ones mentioned and I will guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Oh and by the way one day it rained on us so we decided to have a massage in the spa. It is well worth the money.

We had breakfast and lunch mainly in the royal service area since it was so easy. Roger and Carlos from La Palapa will take care of your breakfast...this is for sure. Our favorite restaurant was the Blue Agave, we are simple folks when it comes to eating. Blue Agave had the best strawberry margaritas!!!!
