We were there for 2 weeks and BOY,,, talk about a beautiful hotel and location. Situated in the middle of the strip with lush lawns and trees in front of the hotel (9 holes executive par 3) a beautiful beach with lots of palapas( enough for everyone). Bar service and lunch delivered at you palapas (Hamburgers, club sandwiches, wings, nachos) by friendly staff (no charge.... but leave a tip). The sea was warm and the waves were fun to swim in. The hotel is made of 5 pyramides connected together as pyramide 3 is the main one where all the activities take place, such as ,,, the main buffet, all the À LA CARTE restaurants , shops , the avenue bar where the nightly shows are, the Red lounge disco, the spa and a medical clinic.Inside these pyramides, you will experience a boidome like feeling, There is lush vegetation , vines hanging from every floor down where small pools with exotic fish ,an Asian restaurant, a bar are,,,, FABULOUS.Since this pyramid has 8 floors. Take the time to go up there and see this exotic rain forest from above..... Breathtaking !

We were in pyramide 1 (Club Mélia) . This place was very quiet and relax , The rooms are comfortable , had a very good matress (king size)... We even had a jacuzi on the balcony .... Ocean view is a MUST.

Food was great everywhere , Buffet was great, We really liked the Market Grill where they serve huge pieces of meat from gigantic brochettes...... Make sure to eat breakfast at the buffet outside on the porch..... what a VIEW of the Carabeen sea !!!!

We travel a lot and believe me .... the house wine is good at this hotel. The wine is always from a corked bottle. Spanish,Argentine and YES... we even drank fine Merlot from Bordeaux at tha Asias restaurant BANA.

Staff is very nice and attentive to your every needs, A thank you to RUBY,our concierge..... a fine man,

All in all, Paradisus Cancun is a wonderful 5 star resort that is a must if you're planning to go in Cancun, I stongly recommand it.

Room Tip: Pyramise 3 is little noisier than the others because of all the activities taken place there

If you are looking for 5 star resort experience at 4 star pricing, than the Royal Service upgrade here is it. We had our own private sit down check in that took no more than 5 minutes (were able to make all our dinner reservations for the same time every night as well with no headaches). Royal Pool is secluded (no kids, thank God), private cabanas that are included at no extra cost, and tons of beach towels (no room card required). Consuelo came by at least 3 times per hour with tasty drinks and tons of bottled water, she was wonderful. The food at La Palapa (Royal service only) was outstanding for lunch (panko breaded gruyere is awesome) . Way better than buffet food for the normal guests. Didn't eat buffet at all, no need to when you are a Royal Guest. The breakfast items at the Royal service restaurant are amazing. The full -time staff there is excellent, they made us fresh espresso every morning, cocktails in the evening (Grey Goose only here) and plated scrumptious desserts to take to our room for late night cravings. We were never told no, ever!! Fuego is by far the best food in the entire place, although the other restaurants were awesome, Fuego tappas were great, wine was great, and service was perfect. Vento was excellent (Omar and Yazmin) took great care of us. Sushi was great, and Toji bar had the best homemade Sangria, thanks to the great service of Luis and Benito. Great evening shows, always friendly staff, and awesome food (although we really didn't eat much at the buffet) makes for a perfect vacation getaway. My wife and I made it a point to always tip above and beyond, and I guarantee that will make a difference. I say the same thing to everyone if you don't tip don't expect much, if you treat people like they deserve, your experience will be flawless. Upgrade of only $40 a night for a 1 bedroom 2 bath suite is highly worth it, especially if your significant other takes forever in the bathroom. If you are looking at the Royal or Gran Caribe (stayed at both in the past), look at the Royal service at Paradisus instead, chances are you will save $300 plus and have just as good of an experience. Yih spa services that are included with Royal service are worth it in itself. Awesome relaxation pool!!

Room Tip: Royal Service upgrade is worth it!!!

We just returned from a Valentine's Day romantic getaway to the Paradisus Cancun Resort and had an amazing time! From the moment we stepped in the hotel we were whisked away by our own butler, Francisco, to the "Royal Service" building and pampered every second. The handed us some champagine, towels to wash our hands, took our bags, and made us feel like royalty. We HIGHLY recommend the Royal Service upgrade. The building is much quiter, clean, and the service they give you is outstanding. You also have your own pool and bar on the Royal Service side. ALl adults and no screaming children splashing you. Worth every penny!

Our butler, Francisco, was outstanding! We arrived on Valentine's Day and that night while we were at dinner, he had rose petals put on our bed in the shape of a heart and a bottle of wine waiting for us. He was wonderful! He made us our dinner reservations each night (highly recommend this) and was always available to help us in any way.

We never left the resort because there was so much to do! Plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. The pool bar area was our favorite spot. The cabana boy, Sergio, was outstanding! He made us beach bed reservations every day, brought us towels, fruit, towels for our hands and faces, etc. We loved him!!

The bartender, Alvaro, was also outstanding!! He knew the drinks we liked and would have them sent to us before we ordered another round. We never had an empty cup thanks to Alvaro! He makes unbelievable pina coladas and mudslides. I'm drooling just thinking about them.

Make sure you stop by the Royal Service pool and meet Alvaro at the bar and Sergio at the cabana! They will make your trip to Paradisus even better!

Thank you to the entire staff at Paradisus Cancun. We can't remember all the names, but the waiters at all the restaurants we visited were all so outgoing, friendly, helpful and charming. The food is out of this world!

Don't submit to the indifference you may encouter on checkin, when the assigned room isn't what you requested. Find an ally among the staff, get what you requested, then enjoy all the benefits of a remarkably freindly staff , a wide variety of excellent food, and don't miss the 8:30 PM show in the Avenue Bar, which exceeds any cruise we have been on.

On the 2nd of February we, together with our friends, came to Cancun, Mexico on vacation and were met by an Apple rep.
Usually it takes about 10-15 minutes to fill the bus with passengers and move to the hotels.
We know that it’s a dispatcher’s job to distribute different customers to different minibuses, however we don’t understand why we had to wait for over 40 minutes until the bus started moving.
We entered the beautifully designed hotel and were so much surprised to find out that we were not welcome, as it seemed that nobody expected our visit. And mind, we were over an hour late for check-in, way after 4 pm. Our rooms were not ready, the receptionist couldn’t find available rooms, then with the help of her supervisor Ramon tried to offer us rooms on different floors – 0, 1 or 8. To get rooms at least on the same floor we had to wait for another hour or two. Meanwhile we decided to have something to eat – it turned out to be a problem in a 6-stars all-inclusive resort: the buffet was closed at 5 pm, you could get no food till 6pm. We were asked out of the buffet and offered a room service. Tell me, please, how you can get room service without any room. Amazing logic! The only open option was a bar with drinks, thanks God, we at least could quench our thirst with some soda and juice. No complains here, there was some waitress who brought us some nuts and dried fruit.
When we finally got to our rooms, it was too late to go down to the Sea to take the first swim as our tradition.
Anyway, we got to a restaurant and had nice food. Good people, good staff, good quality. We thought – finally we can have a well deserved rest. No way, people! I was startled around midnight by the noise of drilling and somebody talking loud on a walkie-talkie in the hallway, somebody was running on the roof and doing something. The receptionist when I called stated that the manager is there to take care of the noise. Nothing of the kind. In the flyer we got the next day it said that they were upgrading conditioning system. Wonderful! We are all for it! But should it be done in the middle of the night when everybody is sleeping? It wasn’t an emergency, it could be done during the day. And three nights on the row it’s too much. The call to the receptionist didn’t solve the problem, only the conversation with the supervisor in the morning did. The only thing we wanted to know is how long it was going to continue – should we stay or request another hotel.
In spite of human errors and some lack of organization we liked the place. And Mother Nature did her best, thanks to Her - the sand, the sea, the sun - our vacation wasn’t completely ruined.
As for the food, not much variety. Besides, for 3 days they were fixing something in the buffet, so everybody was served in the open air – picnic style from morning till evening.
Yes, and conditioning system in the building leaves much to be desired.
So 3 stars at most. They need to fix the drawbacks first, then claim 5 or 6 star level.

We had a long weekend with a few friends at Paradisus. We "splurged" for the Deluxe Royal treatment in Pyramid 5. There was a mix up with our reservations, but they made a few phone calls and remedied the issue promptly. The staff at Paradisus is outstanding. In our pyramid, we had happy hour every day with top shelf liquor (self serve, if you preferred) and exceptional service. The restaurants served innovative and delicious food (especially the sushi at Bana), and the Red Lounge (with DJ Rolando) was where we ended up dancing and drinking each night. The pyramid atria are beautifully adorned with plants, water features, and vines (Philodendron?) draping down from each floor. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Spending a little extra to get the "Luxury" treatment in Pyramid 5 (no children) is worth...
