This was our first experience with an All-Inclusive resort and had an unbelievable fantastic time. The housekeeping staff works very hard in keeping the resort clean and to provide you with anything you may need in your room.
Wifi excellent & even on the beach. Food (restaurants & wait staff was exceptional), drinks (quality, quantity & correct drinks every time) and service was fantastic. Property is gorgeous. Took advantage of the free dive lesson and found a new hobby, thanks Alex & Dominica. Had fun with Beth, Alan, Sandy & Victor at Water Aerobics.

Room Tip: All the rooms have view. No unusual noises on the 24th floor, very quiet and slept well in the comfo...

My wife and I visited Secrets the Vine for 5 days this week and enjoyed the hotel. It is a beautiful modern building, and the service is excellent. You will not go hungry or thirsty there. The views of the ocean couldn't have been better and it was literally across from the city bus stop which made for easy travel around Cancun. The only downsides that we encountered were the following: The restaurants seemed like they were trying to be too upscale. I know it sounds strange, but we would have killed for a simple bean burrito...or some Mexican food. The food could have been simplified from raspberry oyster compote and fajitas with a meat combination of steak, chicken, fish, and octupus...and no tortillas, beans, sour cream, or cheese. The presentation of the dishes was good, but the portions were very small. Don't be afraid to order more than one. I am definitely open to new palates and trying new things, but something spicy or more simple would have been enjoyed. They did have a pool grill that made burgers and hot dogs, but it was very busy and took a while to get your food. Our favorite places were the Olio bar (delicious trout, scallops, shrimp, dolmates, and lamb meat balls), and room service delivered a delicious macaroni and blue cheese pasta with a ham and cheese panini. The only other downside was the lack of privacy in the bathroom. The shower was huge and amazing with the glass surrounding, but a solid surrounding around the toilet would have been nice. You can see the feet and the head of the person using the restroom, everything echoes in the toilet room, and the spacing between the glass walls did not insulate sound. There were public restrooms to use which did help. This may be something that is kind of a norm. This was the 3rd Latin-American hotel/resort that I visited and they all had a lack of privacy in the bathroom. Our refrigerator did not work either. We asked room service, and they stated that all of them had that problem. We just ordered drinks and went to bars so it wasn't that big of a problem Keep in mind that I am somewhat of a hard critic. Otherwise, this hotel was phenomenal, beautiful, romantic, and an excellent place to stay, with great service and entertainment. I have back issues, and the bed was the best bed I've slept on at any hotel. Very comfy, not much noise from the halls. I will definitely return.

I've read the majority of reviews here, firstly let me say that this is a very very beautiful resort, the staff are very polite and friendly, the food is superb - cant fault the place on what one would expect to be excellent.

Here is my two cents....the entertainment staff, sorry guys, was in our opinion non existent. guessing how many coffee beans are in a plastic cup is not my idea of entertainment. we noticed this almost immediately on our holiday. we honeymooned in secrets maroma 11 months ago and the entertainment staff was out of this world, far exceeds the vine.

we like to enjoy ourselves with good food and good drink. we felt, in contrary to previous reviews, that alot of drinks were not of the quality we are used to, far from it in fact. we also received incorrect drinks on a number of occasions, too many to name, again not having a go at the staff but would expect to get a drink right, especially an easy drink like jack and coke.

the bars close down at 1am...very very very disappointing. we were in the bar with some new friends and the place automatically switched off, all the lights, darkness, bar closed, goodnight. not good enough. secrets maroma had a little nightclub that you could dance and drink for the night away until about 2.30am

each night we went to sleep, on 15th floor, there was a generator, i think from the next hotel though, and it went on and on and on and on and the amount of people commenting about this around the resort was ridiculous, it was exceptionally loud, don't know if it was building works that might be finished now or is it an every night occurence??

we travelled from ireland, as i said before we honeymooned in secrets maroma in november 2011. our advise is as follows. secrets maroma is a far more secluded resort, its litterally in the middle of a jungle, its a small rise resort, the staff, food, facilities everything is phenomenal....alot of this is applicable for the vine also, but if travelling to cancun again or going on honeymoon again?? would be going back to secrets maroma.

secrets the vine is amazing dont get me wrong, just wanted to be honest with review.

Room Tip: 1521 has magnificent views of ocean and lagoon but then again most rooms on this side of the buildin...

I have been to Cancun several times, it is a quick flight and the weather is always great. There are many properties to choose from and I would never go back and not stay at Secrets The Vine. The restaurants were incredible, the staff were extremely accommodating, the property is gorgeous and modern and the beach was perfect. Most all-inclusive resorts feel like all-inclusive resorts; you have to make reservations, wait in line, the food is usually hit and miss, cheap drinks etc...
This hotel truly offers a 5 Star Boutique Hotel experience. The fitness centre is exceptional, the pools were immaculate and most importantly the staff would do almost anything to make the trip more enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends in a heartbeat. This Hotel sets a new bar for all-inclusive travel.

Room Tip: All the rooms face the ocean somehow and are great however the Suites on the corner of each floor ar...

Superb few days at this brand new hotel where everything was impeccable.
Special thanks to Elaine for trying to help me stretch my creaking over worked body in her pilates classes (I am inspired Elaine!) and to Alan on the entertainment team for his fun and friendliness and the professional way that he approaches the task of making sure that everyone has a great time whether around the pool during the day or enjoying the fabulous evening entertainment.
Check out the gym, even if you don't use it, to see the best view from a gym that you will ever see!
Thank you Secrets The Vine.

Just back from amazing 9 nights at secrets. Hotel is fantastic with great views from the rooms of the ocean and also the lagoon. The rooms are huge and have very comfortable beds and the pillows are the best ever slept on in any hotel. We stayed on the 23 rd floor which is the preferred rooms which gives you access to another pool on the 12th floor ,tea coffee, drinks and snacks all day on the 21st, which was a nice , we got it with our package, don't think I would pay the extra for it. The food was excellent in all restaurants , our only complaint was the service in the blue water grill , main course came out with side orders turning up 15 mins later !!! Also waited so long for drinks we got them ourselves on two occasions. The spa was fantastic , and can recommend the full body Swedish massage. The entertainment team are are all a really great bunch , always smiling having fun with the guests as they work. Water aerobics in pool everyday was great with Alan , Beth , Sandy and Winnie the poo, Alan was our favourite of the team organising a great night out for us at the coco bongo club which is excellent. Waiters and waitresses by the pool were all good especially Martha , and Jorge .
All in all this place was an excellent five star holiday in a luxurious hotel , which I would recommend to anyone, a few minor problems which can easily be solved . I would return to this hotel or any secrets hotels

This was our first trip to Cancun and we only decided to go since this was a brand new resort. We were very impressed. We were treated like the best of the best. We had a few questions that the staff did not know the answers and they did not hesitate to go and ask to find an answer. Very relaxing. Food was great. It is next door to the new Hard Rock Hotel and one day it was very loud. The next day we heard nothing out of them. I thought the spa prices were extremely high and did not take part in them. The junior suite was huge. I would go back in an instant.
