My partner and ibhave been here for 3 days now, and we have had the most amazing experience a resort can provide. I have never not wanted to leave a resoything herrbbrt until now. You literally have everythiny here. All the restaurants are gourmet, we have not had a bad meal. The cocktails are great, all top shelf. By far the hardest wonrking and friendliest staff I have ever seen, they treat you like royalty and make you feel so welcomed. The pool is spwceous and very pretty, the view walking out from the hotel lobby is to die for. I couldn't be happier with our decision to book this place, I never want to leave.

We stayed for 10 nights at Secrets the vine from 1st sept 12.
Check in- We were greeted with a 'welcome home' and a glass of Champagne, lovely;-)
had to wait a few minutes to check in due to several people arriving at the same time, we were upgraded to a 'Preferred junior suite' due to a prior communication error between the hotel and our travel company, we werent complaining about that!
We were shown to the lift and the man pressed the button 26 and then just left us to find our own way to our room!
Our room was fabulous, very modern, and large with a massive balcony with the most amazing view
Our bags arrived and we were shown the mini bar, safe etc, and told if there was anything we wanted differently in the bar to just ask, it was very well stocked with water, soft drinks, beers, and all varieties of spirits, pringles and m and m's, there was also a coffee perculator.
The room had an amazingly large shower, 2 sinks, a good supply of toiletries including sunscreen, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, robe and slippers!
We spent most of our time up at the preferred pool on the 12th floor where we were looked after amazingly well by Sandra and Cesar amongst others, thank you.The view from here was fantastic!
We also used the beach, lovely white sand, and a very good service for towels, parasols, drinks etc, i just loved watching the pelicans fishing for their daily meals!
One word of warning be very careful in the sea, we saw one person being rescued by the hotel lifeguard, do check out the flags on the beach and take warning!

Food- Where to start some amazing food!
Seasalt restaurant- Brilliant food with brilliant service, thank you Benjamin
Dragons- Amazing asian food so good we went back again and again!
Italian- Perfect pasta with a perfect waiter thanks Victor
Mexican- Wonderful just loved it!
Breakfast was amazing so much choice including a champagne bar!

I must mention the coffee bar, 'eat your heart out Starbucks' Wonderful frozen Bailleys, thank you ladies!

Bar service was good, hardly ever had to wait more than a minute or two!

Evening entertainment was good, a variety, a circus show, mexican night, singers and musicans and a opera singer who i must say was so talented!

The one negative which i must mention is the noise, on the 26th floor you could hear every little noise from out in the corridor which to be honest you do get used to it, but one night we were woken at 4am but loud hammering from above, after speaking to reception the noise did stop but there surely is no need for construction noise at that time of the morning!

That is the only negative, its a stunning hotel, very modern with fantastic food and the most amazing staff, i would love to return one day soon!

We just returned from a great stay at Secrets The Vine. We went in thinking since it had only been open 17 days there would be numerous issues but wanted to give it a try because of the reasonable price we paid. Well we were very wrong! We were overwhelmed at how together they had this resort in such a short time. From the very first day we were continually amased at how wonderful it was. Check in was a breeze and our honeymoon suite was huge. The balcony wrapped around the building and offered spectaular views. The furniture on the balcony provided everything you needed but I would have loved some type of lounge chair. It did have a table and 4 chairs and a small sofa. Just would have loved to be able to take a siesta on the balcony. And with new furniture arriving every day they may have plans for them. The staff are another treat at this resort. We figured they would mostly be "in training" and never expected the great service we received. Many came from other Secrets Resorts but the ones that didn't, that we talked to, came with many years experience from neighboring resorts. The shining star at Secrets The Vine has to be the Head Chef. How he provided such excellent food at so many different venues in such a short amount of time is beyond me. From the breakfast buffet, to hamburgers at the grill to dinner in any restaurant, we had 5* food at every turn. We have been lucky enough to have stayed at many great A1's and hotels and this was the best dining we have ever experienced. Even the coffee bar was over the top! I have to mention a few employees that went out of their way to make us feel special and that is the great staff at Bue Water. Julio made the best drinks with a smile every time we walked in. Abiel served us not only a wonderful meal with great service but was very interesting and pleasant to talk too. The mgr. Antonio went out of his way to greet us like we were his best friends and made us feel so welcome. Lastly, I know this might seem funny but every hostess at every restaurant went way beyond their call of duty. Every resort has one or two great hostesses but Secrets put the right young ladies at each restaurant. We were always greeted promptly, with a smile and if there was a wait they seem to take it personnally and did everything they could to get you seated as soon as possible. If the waiter took more than a few minutes to come to your table they were right there offering you assurance that they would be there shortly. All I can say is this resort offers everything you need to have a memorable vacation.Thank you Secrets and we will certainly be back again.

We stayed at Secrets The Vine from August 16th-26th, 2012 for our second anniversary. We have previously been to Secrets Maroma, Secrets Silversands, Excellence Playa Mujeres,...We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from beginning to end; from the warm welcome we received upon checking in, to the final farewell on our last day in paradise. This trip was fabulous in every regard.
Firstly, the staff are amongst the friendliest people you'll meet. They are always around to cater to your every need, greet you with a smile, and make an effort to learn your name and ensure that your stay is one to remember. We greatly enjoyed the personal touch of our butler, Sandra, who helped us with anything we needed within mere minutes of a request. Thank you, Sandra, we miss you! The GM, Jean-Pierre, always seemed to be around, making sure that the guests were happy and comfortable and that everything was running smoothly. Looking forward to seeing you again in August, Jean-Pierre! Gustavo, one of the pool and beach staff was absolutely amazing. He was ready every morning to prepare our chairs, umbrella and towels for us, not to mention keeping us supplied with never ending drinks and food delights. Thanks, Gustavo! Claudia at the coffee bar is a sweetheart. Always friendly and welcoming, and makes terrific coffees, iced cappuccinos, mochas, and all that you can imagine. See you soon, Claudia!
Upon checking in to our room, we were so impressed with the modern touches: state of the art lighting, high ceilings, modern furniture, comfortable bed, ample space (his and her closets!), double shower and flat sceen tv with great channel selection.
There are 4 pool areas around the property, some with activity going on, and others more appealing to those wanting a quiet atmosphere. The pool temperature is lovely and the pool service was great. A nice touch was the complimentary trial massages that we received while lounging.
The soft white sandy beach is nice and deep and is great for walking. The water was lovely and warm in August, with no rocks to be seen. Weather was a little windy when we were there so some days that made for big waves. A nice beach for frolicking in the surf and going for a stroll.
The restaurants at the hotel are numerous and offer different types of cuisine. We particularly enjoyed the grill where we feasted on scallops, lamb, steak, etc. Olio is a lovely restaurant on the 14th floor where you can take in the sunset and overlook the bay on one side and the ocean on the other. The asian food at Dragons was very tasty as well, especially the great selection of sushi and curries. Nicely spiced and very flavorful. In our opinion, the food at this resort was amongst the best that we’ve had in Mexico and no restaurant disappoints. On top of this, the breakfast buffet has lots of choices.... French toast was terrific!
Drinks are all made with top-shelf liquor and are delicious. Many different varieties of spirits and bar staff are always willing to mix and blend you up something fabulous.
On top of the beautiful rooms, great food, friendly staff and lovely pools and beach, the property itself is stunning.
Looking forward to returning “home”, as you so well put it Rod. Hope to see you there as well next year during our next stay. We enjoyed our chats and meeting you.

The hotel is very clean and modern. We just got back from a 6 night trip to the vine. Customer service is outstanding. We were upgraded to a preferred junior suite and the room was very large. We actually only used the preferred pool once because we enjoy the other pools much more. The only complaints we had were that the halls were very loud at night. You could hear everything. We also wished that they had more activities to do such as kayaking, snorkeling at the resort. Alex at the pools was our favorite. The pool and beach service was excellent. We ordered room service a couple of nights and they would make whatever we wanted. Housekeeping was great! Everyone is so nice. It makes you feel like you live in another world for a week(dreamland). We would definately go back sometime but next year we are thinking secrets maroma!!! This trip was our 4th trip to cancun and one of the best. We had not one drop of rain the whole week and you know that doesn't happen often.
