“Yeah, Mexican food at last!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

We escaped from the hotel for breakfast and had a great time. All the Mexican classics are here and seemed made on the premises, not the finest cuisine I've had but hearty and tasty which was a very welcome change. Sat outside on the street, under the awning in the rain which had a great relaxed atmosphere. There was a little English/Spanish misunderstanding but they were very helpful & friendly staff. Would have gone again if we had time. It's well situated near La Isla shopping centre, an ATM across the road too, so if you are going to either start your day here. Highly recommended.

Just down Hyatt Zilara and opposite Flamingo Mall. Serves really good local food at reasonable prices.

“Cheap & Cheerful”

Great little find when we wanted to escape the depressing samey breakfast buffet! A chance to remember that you are actually in Mexico - breakfast great!

“Outstanding...”

I'm not much for words...The best meal all week! The owner gave us samples of the different pork dishes before we ordered. Trust the reviews from the out-of-towners...place is great. Cash and bring Pesos for the best price.

“Tiny little place with awesome food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

Our concierge at our hotel recommended this place when he realized we were down home people who wanted good food and didn't care about whether the chairs were plastic or leather. It was recommended that we try the Tacos Pastor and we did and we loved them. We also tried a mole dish and ceviche. All was served of course with nachos. Tacos Pastor were described to us as being like the gyro meat on a stick but with Mexican spices. The tacos pastor quickly became a favorite that we had at other restaurants but they didn't stack up to Tacun as the Pastor meat here was juicy and flavorful without being overly so. We also tried a spicy mole that I liked but I don't think my son or husband liked as much as I did. We also had a ceviche and it was good but there is a ceviche in Cancun that surpasses the one here.
If we hadn't had our fill of Mexican food we would have definitely gone here again. The food was reasonably priced, the service was excellent.
