New resort and a stunning ultra modern Hotel. We had a suite on the 4th floor overlooking the superb pool area and sea. 2 comfortable large beds, jacuzzi, large balcony, shower/wet room. The pool area is divided up with plenty of new sunbeds, 896 to be precise, with several pool bars. The food was very good, and a better selection than the Riu Tequila which we experienced the week before. We tried Crystals restaurant and the food was excellent as was the presentation but unfortunately the steaks were only luke warm. The main buffet restaurant didn't really match up to the rest of the hotel and had a bit of a canteen feel, but again food choice and quality were excellent. The staff in the restaurants need more training, they struggled in the main buffet restaurant to keep up with clearing tables and plates between courses, and in the themed restaurants were serving dessert prior to clearing main course plates away. The other disappointing item for a 5 star resort was that they did not change table cloths after sittings. A number of times we sat down and the table cloth was clearly stained from a previous sitting. The pool area was always clean with a roving drinks service and there was a small beach if you preferred. The beach bar was very pleasant, particularly in the evening when tables and chairs were put on the beach with lights, very romantic. Again the majority of staff were pleasant and helpful. If you want a day out, take the ferry, 500 metre walk left from hotel to the "Island of ladies" A small island on which you hire a golf buggy to get round, roads are only used by taxi's and odd vehicles so no hassle. Had lunch at Jax restaurant which is owned by a lady from Texas and it was excellent and good value. I think once staff are trained and some small items addressed this will be a great resort, would return.

We Visited this Hotel with the intension of getting married there next year, when we entered the hotel we were told to go to the reception desk because they had noticed we were staying in the hotel next door (RIU Caribe, fantastic hotel!). I asked if we could just have a look around the hotel but we were RUDLEY asked to leave, Your Loss (wedding party around 30 people/1week) we now have found a hotel nearby, the staff are nice and friendly too. Sorry could not make any other review about food, rooms ect because we did not get a chance to LOOK AROUND!

My husband and I were very pleased with this hotel.
All hotel's guests can have a good time for everyone taste.
The beach is very beautiful and have a lot of places where there is a shadow,so you don't have to worry to have umbrella on not .
As well on the beach you can find a dancing music or jazz. or a place where there is no music at all .
I find it very convenient:)

All new resort. My wife and I travel, with another couple, twice a year and always stay at a Riu Resort. Everthing was as expected from a Riu Resort. Good food, good location and great service. Will return next year.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade with the ocean view.

The food was the best thing about this resort. The staff is also wonderful. The beach is very rock, and the water is not very blue -- but is very clear. There is a lot of sea weed. None of this was a negative for me, but if you are looking for a nice beach, you will find a lot of rocks here.
There were no bathrooms available if you were on the beach. You had to walk a good distance to find a bathroom.
Over all we had a great experience at this resort. We stayed in room 904.
