Description: Experience the delicious tastes of Mexican coffee and chocolate, direct from the plantation. In Ah Cacao, coffee, chocolate and vanilla are presented in all their mouth watering forms, from artisanal coffee drinks by skilled baristi, to soft, succulent, brownies baked daily. They even have have a range of chocolate body care products - you have to try the chocolate shampoo! And if you're concerned about your health, check out the cacao products with no added sweeteners. These give you all of the health benefits of cacao (antioxidants that fight aging, blood pressure reduction, increased mental acuity, etc.) without any sugar or artificial sweeteners. Best of all, thanks their fine-flavor criollo-type cacao, they taste great. The ancient Maya knew that cacao was something special when they began cultivating it thousands of years ago and you can enjoy their gift today at Ah Cacao. Don't forget to buy for your friends, family and pantry back home!

A small independent coffee shop at La Isla Shopping Centre that does great coffee and cakes. The chocolate used in the cakes is delicious and the ice cream is also worth a sample. Very reasonably priced and much better than any of the chains that surround it.

We had our choice of Starbucks or Ah Cacao for an after dinner treat. We decided to try something new/different and we were thrilled with our choice. My husband had an espresso, which he raved about, and I chose an iced mocha. By far the best coffee type drink I have ever had! I need to go get another one!

Inexpensive espresso based drinks at this cafe in the La Isla shopping center. Surprisingly inexpensive for the often overpriced Zona Hotelera, around $2-3USD for a large iced americano.

A chocolate-chip muffin was truly atrocious (not worth eating). A small container of ice cream was reasonable. There's a lot of chocolate options which we didn't try, figuring the chocolate would melt in the Cancun heat before we got to eating it.

There's outdoor seating with a view of the lagoon (down the alley a bit). They bring your order out to your table.

We stopped by 3 times, and the service was much better in the afternoon visits than in the morning visit.

Recommended.

This is a lovely little cafe specializing in Mayan chocolate, situated in the La Isla Mall in the heart of Cancun. The hot chocolate and the brownie were sublime. We made a special trip into Cancun to find this place, and it was worth it!

After three days of terrible coffee on the resort I needed a fix of something good. Hit up TripAdvisor and discovered this gem. Not much new to add: fantastic coffee (beats Starbucks by a mile), delicious quality chocolate (I had a bar), and great views of the bay. Service was attentive and friendly. It's all good here!
