Four of us did the Chichen Itza tour with Jerry last week, and can only agree with all the other postings here, absolutely first class. Forget your travel company organised events, and email Jerry to get the best tour possible, no problem booking and paying, all went like clockwork, fantastic.

The tour guide was very informative and compassionate about the Mayan culture. We enjoyed everything about it.

We (4 people) booked the tour with Jerry at end of July, the main reason is because Jerry would take us straight to the ruin instead of wasting time at waiting and shopping as big tour company did, of course we didn't want to take chance with other tour guide as we were very interested in Maya culture. We left our hotel at 7am, got to the ruin at 9:30am, when not too many people were there, during 2 hrs walking tour, Jerry explaining in detail about Maya culture, religion and the significance of the pyramid. We finished at 11:30am, while leaving, we saw the large groups of people started pouring in, and it's getting quite hot. Later we went to the cenote to swim, and had a buffet which was excellent. On way back, we stopped at valladolid which is a colonial city, it's quite interesting to see. When we got back to our hotel, it's just 4pm, still have time to go to beach. The whole trip was very efficient, well organized, thanks to Jerry we had a fun day and learned a lot about Maya culture.

By all means, book with Jerry. Then read everything you can before you go so you can maximise your experience. Have lots of questions, because he has lots of answers. And he'll get you there early enough that you'll miss the crowds. His prices includes nearly everything, so no worries.

Jerry and his driver picked us up promptly at 7 am at our hotel. Excellent van, lots of room, and good a/c. The heat and humidity of the Yucatan is impressive, so the a/c and cold wag clothes between stops were reviving. Chitzen Itza is impressive, much more than what is conveyed by a photo. Ek Balam, a much newer site, is also very impressive.

We asked for our tour in Spanish, (Jerry will do either English or Spanish but not both due to time and focus), as my wife and daughter were able to understand and communicate better.

Lunch was included in the price, but not beverages.

Jerry is very detailed in his description of what you are seeing and you are better off listening first to his commentary, as he is likely to touch on all points, and ask questions after if he has not answered your question. It is important to keep up and not get too distracted by the many vendors on the periphery of the site trying to aggressively sell their products.

A great tour but one must keep up to see it all. We arrived at the hotel around 7 pm, so a good 10 hour day.
