“A great option downtown”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

We stayed here for one night. We were arriving late and didn't wanna spend money on a Hotel Zone hotel just for one short sleep, because the next day we left to Cozumel.
So we chose this place. We know La Quinta Inns from our travels in the USA. We were always happy. This place here is pretty new built and offered a great sleep. The place is spotless, the staff is nice and the bed really comfortable. The rooms are good sized, quiet and there's free WiFi throughout the Hotel.
There's a free breakfast buffet with a good food selection (mexican food too), which was very nice. They also offer a free shuttle service to the ADO bus station (you can take a local bus there to the Hotel Zone - the R1 - only costs 20 peso...saves you a lot of money for the taxi).

Next to the Hotel there's a Oxxo (like a 7-11, open 24 hours) and a small taco eatery. A few minutes away by foot there's also a big mall (Las Americas).

So, this place is a really good choice, if you need a good bed to sleep...and if you don't mind to be miles away from the beach. And it also comes at a very good price. If you wanna be close to the beach though...this place is not for you, going back and forward would be quite a trip. If you look for a good downtown place in Cancun: this is it!

We just came back from Cancun and La Quinta Inn was the best choice that we made in our trip to Mexico. As a family we enjoyed our stay in that hotel for 10 days. I highly recommend la Quinta and the next time I will book again with them. The front desk staff was very helpful. Brand new hotel and close to everything. We loved the Mexican breakfast buffet. Thanks to Jenny and Yesenia for your help.

We have stayed many times in La Quinta, and the service is excellent, the people that work there are really nice, and the atmosphere is homely and comfortable.
The rooms are very comfortable and they have all you need to feel great at a hotel.
The location is great, it´s near to everywere.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great

I stayed here for 5 days during a business trip and had an excellent stay. I really couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. The location is ideal far from the craziness of the tourist zone. The rooms are new, clean and extremely comfortable. Both the bed and the showers were amazing. I was surprised to have breakfast included, a great bonus during my business trip. The chilaquiles were delicious, and every day I was there I could chose something different. Great options! Another great option was the pool, it is small but nice and clean. I used it every day I was there. All the staff that work there are friendly, attentitive and efficient.

We stayed here for 4 days and had a really great stay. Good location if you want to get away from the craziness of the tourist zone. Really nice rooms and excellent service. Breakfast was great with lots of options. The only minor downfall was that the dinner menu was not that great and did not have that many options. Having said that, there are lots of other places nearby to eat! I would highly recommend La Quinta Inn and suites

My wife and I went for a rather long trip to Cancun. It was off season and hotels were plentiful and cheap. we decided to stay at different hotels and resorts, switching about every three days just because we could.
We decided to start with a downtown hotel and based on the reviews here on Trip Advisor, we chose La Quinta.
First we met the doorman who was very friendly. The lobby staff was also friendly, fast and helpful.
Some of the staff spoke English very well, most reasonably well and a few had some difficulties.
And when we entered the room, we were impressed to put it mildly. It was ultra clean and the bed was very comfortable.
We had simple amenities, such as refrigerator, coffee maker and a microwave oven.
Our room was very quiet and we didn't hear any street noise.
The air conditioner was so quiet that when I turned it on, I didn't think it worked at first, but then it got cold.
The hotel is also brand new.
They offered a free breakfast buffet that had a variety of both American and Mexican breakfast items and it was quite tasty.
Within one block, you could choose between at least eight different restaurants. Two on our side of the street and the rest on the other side, offering everything from Sushis and hamburgers to good old Mexican food that surpassed any Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in the US.
Our favorite was the taqueria right next door. There's also a convenient store right next door as well.
Cancun's largest mall is about a five minute walk from the hotel.
After staying there for three days, we tried a luxury resort at the hotel zone for three days and after that, we just decided to come back to La Quinta and stay there for the remainder of our vacation and just take taxis(which are really cheap) to the different places we wanted to check out.
We highly recommend this place. We also recommend downtown Cancun over the tourist saturated hotel zone.

We stayed at this hotel from 20th July thru 30th July. Staff provided us with excellent services, I read lot of reviews before I booked this place and Now I think it is my time to add comment to facilitate other people's stay. Hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, Majority of people understand English so no problem communicating with staff members. Breakfast was great. They even offer to drop us in the Hotel zone as needed. I highly recommend this place, It is cheaper and you can do so much around the area. Beaches are not far. Public transportation is available 24 hours.
Special thanks to Sergio, Jonathan, Flor, Karina and other staff member who answered the phone calls when i requested something, they all made our stay so effortless.

Room Tip: Their rates are pretty good.
