The food is too die for! Small and intimate atmosphere! Great staff, and great wine! It was so good that we went back to eat two more times in the week that we were there!

This is a small, family run Italian restaurant in downtown Cancun. The food is delicious, fresh and authentic, and the service is second to none. Taste and portion size will certainly not disappoint.
Anyone who knows and enjoys genuine Italian cuisine will enjoy this place. For those who believe "Olive Garden" is authentic Italian you'll either be pleasantly surprised or disgusted that they don't add 5lbs of salt to every meal......

This restaurant has a charm of its own. The owners and staff give their hearts to their establishment and you can feel it by their warm welcome when you step into the place.
The 'Regina' Pizza will make you travel to Napoli in a single bite! The cheese is importation so very fresh and extremly tasty. Giulia, the owner, will impress you with her knowledge and perfectly-balanced cocktails (free martinis on Friday for ladies!). Always a fresh dessert of the day. I recommend the Tiramisu, it melts in your mouth. Located across from Cancun's largest shopping mall, 'Las Americas'. All in all, if you want to have a great meal, cozy and friendly ambiance at a very affordable price, IFamosi should definetely be on your restaurant-to-hit list!
Cheers and Buon Apetito!

We ate twice here on our recent trip to Cancun - in search of something other than a taco! Both times we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

The small restaurant was close to the Ibis Central Cancun (a couple of minutes walk) and the American Mall. The atmosphere is great. There are a small number of tables outside in a little covered patio which is really pretty. I'm guessing there are tables inside too but I didn't see in - there are stairs up to the main building.

They had live music on the Saturday - 2 Mexican's playing guitars & singing - which added to the atmosphere. The owner made a point of saying hello / goodbye & thanks. She is Italian and speaks excellent English. We felt very welcome.

Portions are huge - we could have shared one pasta dish and added a salad or desert if still hungry. We had pasta on both occaisions - the lasagne was lovely. Don't gorge on the little bruschetta served when you arrive or you'll roll out at the end of the meal! The food is good value & wine is reasonably priced too. They are open for lunch (from 2pm) and close late.

It may not be the most authentic Italian in Mexico - I imagine it's difficult to get hold of some of the key ingredients to get the real Italian taste but the food is still excellent and great value for money in a lovely little setting.

We went here based on TripAdvisor reviews. I must must say we were a bit disappointed. The restaurant itself is quaint and nicely decorated. The food was lacked something to be desired. The pasta dishes(we tried 2) salmon penne, Bolognese. Both lacked that nice Italian garlic taste. Nor did they provide fresh ground pepper or fresh parmesan for your dishes. We also tried the pizza vegetarian style and yes it was good with thin crust, lite sauce, and baked prefectly. Stick to the pizza.
