When you go to an all-inclusive resort, you assume you are going to get the standard, lukewarm buffet food for every meal. The resort layouts usually include a Mexican buffet, maybe an Italian place, and maybe an Asian place, and that's about it. Luckily for us, Live Aqua gave us so many more choices than that, and a lot in this one restaurant.
MB is American Contemparary. It's French. It's Mediterranean. The decor is chic and elegant like a major city Michelin restaurant, but it is at an all-inclusive resort. Such an added bonus! Everyone on staff works extremely hard to make sure you are satisfied in every aspect. The kitchen staff are seasoned vets. Chef Eric is one of the most approachable, business savvy chefs in the business. If you reach out to him, he will make your stay at his restaurant is very special and delicious. Both times we visited MB, we were in awe of his personal touch to his dishes. We had bacon-wrapped filets topped with fried mozzarella and a reduction sauce the first night and a Mediterranean-style rack of lamb the second night with cumin sauce and a cheesy croquette. Both served with perfectly seasoned grilled lobster.
Chef Eric and his staff were nice enough to reach out to us multiple times to make sure we were enjoying our stay at the resort and how they could service us again. He was great enough to even send us some recipes. Definitely a top notch restaurant in Cancun that Live Aqua is lucky enough to have!
