Last year we decided that one of our travel goals would be to visit the seven wonders of the modern world. Chichen Itza is one of these famous places. Like many reviewers we tried to do our research. We think we did well using this agency for our bus tour reservations. In writing to them we always got back relies very quickly and with very helpful information. Our bus tour to Chichen Itza was $49-Dollars each. We were picked upon time in the morning from our hotel. We took the tour in a nice air conditioned bus. Our tour guide was named David who really made our tour complete. He was nice to al lof us and is an expert on Mayan culture. We were able to visit a cenote and take a short swim. We thought the buffet lunch that was included was very good. As vegetarians we had things to eat that met our needs. We spent 90 minutes with our tour guide. Chichen Itza is sort of compact so all the important spots are close together. We also had an additional hour on our own. It does take about 2 hours to get to Chichen Itza from Cancun. I think it is a trip you will always enjoy and remember. We think our tour agency was just excellent.

I have to agree with many reviews here on tripadvisor.com who sing the praises of this small tour agency. Since he has been in Cancun for many years he knows the city and seems to really care about the people who e mail him for information. We did send him several e-mails which he did answer in a timely manor. We never felt pressure from his agency to make reservations. In fact he suggested that we compare his tour prices with those at our hotel and to ask questions. I think the bottom line is that most bus tours use like 4 tour bus operators. The price difference is the amount of commissions the agency wants or needs to get to cover their business expenses. His bus tours for Coba/Tulum and the Chichen Itza tours both cost $49-Dollars. From the several travel agents at our hotel the same tours were offered from $85-Dollars to almost $110-Dollars! We also saved about $25 Dollars using his agency for our reservations for Xcaret Plus. Charlie also furnished us with a list of places to dine where locals go to eat. Try this small agency for tours and information.

We lost a lot of time in the cenote and that left us only 45 min at Chichen Itza in the evening. We saw a big hurry and the photos came out with very bad light.

We are new to tripadvisor but will not consider going on future trips without first checking with tripadvisor.com. What a great service you provide for your readers. We also want to thank the reviewers. Your experiences and reports helped us out. After reading many reviews we selected The Drew Agency for our airport transfer and several tours. Like others have written from our first e mail to this agency we always got answers to our questions. We liked the fact that we did not have to prepay for tours but only if and on the day of each tour. We always had a free morning pick up at our hotel. We really enjoyed the bus tour that included both Ek Balam and Chichen Itza. We also had included a visit to a cenote. Our hotel asked $85-Dollars for this tour, but we paided $64-Dollars. We liked our tour guides who were both friendly and knew their history. This tour included a buffet lunch. This tour is only given on thursdays. We also used this agency for our bus tour to Coba and Tulum. This tour was less than $50-Dollars per person. I suggest you try to visit at least one Mayan ruin if you come to Cancun for a week. We trusted this agency for a list of places to eat. most were located in downtown Cancun. bus transportation is very good.

We just finished writing some reviews regarding places to eat in downtown cancun. We asked Charlie Drew before we left for Cancun for moderate places to eat since we decided against an all inclusive meal plan package. He gave us a good list including the many places located in Merket 28 which was Cancun's first public market. We never felt that he was suggesting places that paid him a commission. We never had to make reservations so they did not know us from Adam. He suggested the Ty-Coz Cafe by the convention center for great baguetts. We had one that was only $15-pesos and was excellent. This was in the hotel zone. We used his agency for our bus tours to:Chichen Itza/Ek Balam,Coba/Tulum and the bus tour called Xelha all Inclusive. His prices were much lower than what we saw at our hotel and these were very good bus tours. Excellent tour guides were provided. These tours also included lunch and several extras. Before you come to Cancun i suggest you write to this agency. I think you will be impressed by their fast responses to your questions.
