We lost a lot of time in the cenote and that left us only 45 min at Chichen Itza in the evening. We saw a big hurry and the photos came out with very bad light.

We are new to tripadvisor but will not consider going on future trips without first checking with tripadvisor.com. What a great service you provide for your readers. We also want to thank the reviewers. Your experiences and reports helped us out. After reading many reviews we selected The Drew Agency for our airport transfer and several tours. Like others have written from our first e mail to this agency we always got answers to our questions. We liked the fact that we did not have to prepay for tours but only if and on the day of each tour. We always had a free morning pick up at our hotel. We really enjoyed the bus tour that included both Ek Balam and Chichen Itza. We also had included a visit to a cenote. Our hotel asked $85-Dollars for this tour, but we paided $64-Dollars. We liked our tour guides who were both friendly and knew their history. This tour included a buffet lunch. This tour is only given on thursdays. We also used this agency for our bus tour to Coba and Tulum. This tour was less than $50-Dollars per person. I suggest you try to visit at least one Mayan ruin if you come to Cancun for a week. We trusted this agency for a list of places to eat. most were located in downtown Cancun. bus transportation is very good.

We just finished writing some reviews regarding places to eat in downtown cancun. We asked Charlie Drew before we left for Cancun for moderate places to eat since we decided against an all inclusive meal plan package. He gave us a good list including the many places located in Merket 28 which was Cancun's first public market. We never felt that he was suggesting places that paid him a commission. We never had to make reservations so they did not know us from Adam. He suggested the Ty-Coz Cafe by the convention center for great baguetts. We had one that was only $15-pesos and was excellent. This was in the hotel zone. We used his agency for our bus tours to:Chichen Itza/Ek Balam,Coba/Tulum and the bus tour called Xelha all Inclusive. His prices were much lower than what we saw at our hotel and these were very good bus tours. Excellent tour guides were provided. These tours also included lunch and several extras. Before you come to Cancun i suggest you write to this agency. I think you will be impressed by their fast responses to your questions.

We were lucky in that the first agency we e-mailed to answered all of our many questions. We also know that once in Cancun and comparing prices we saved money with this local place. The private round trip transfer was done first class and the total cost was $55-Dollars. As promised our driver Augustin was waiting for us. He had a sign with our names on it. Within minutes we were on our way to the hotel. Before he left we were given a receipt and he re-confirmed the day and time that he would be picking us up. Being older folks we are usually early for appointments. Ten minutes before the scheduled time he was there waiting for us. You need to be at the airport 2 hours before international flights. We selected Charlie Drew's agency for our trip to the famous eco park:Xcaret. We had a great day there. The package included a buffet lunch. Our hotel as well as the Xcaret reps wanted $139-Dollars per person. We only paid $112-USA! Why would anyone want to pay more? It was a full day. The evening folklure show is just a great experience. We also went on the thursday bus tour to Ek Balam and Chichen Itza. We also got on this tour to swim at a cenote. Also had a good buffet lunch. This tour was $64-USA per person and well worth the money. Our hotel offered it for $85-USA. I am sold on using this fine and friendly agency. They also helped with good tourist information that had nothing to do with tours. I have used larger and well known tour agencies in the past that were not as good as this place.

Some people say it is near impossible to get good personal service anywhere in the world. We found that this is not always the case. Thanks to many reviews we read on tripadvisor we wrote to charliedrewcancun.com. With a few minutes we got a friendly answer to our many questions. We only had 5 days here so we wanted to see what was most important. First on our list was going to Chichen Itza which was really worth the trip. We were picked up at our hotel and went on a nice air conditioned bus. The guide we had was excellent. It was like taking a fun college course. The tour also included a stop for a swim at a cenote. What clear waters. We also had a buffet lunch. We thought the price of $49-Dollars was more than fair considering the prices listed at our hotel. We used this same tour agency for our trip to Xcaret the eco park. The price again was about 25 Dollars less than asked at our hotel. We also really had fun taking the jungle snorkel tour. Driving our own fast boats were fun. The price we paid going thru this agency saved us $27 Dollars each over what was the public listed price at the marina. Getting around the hotel zone bus by bus is very good and not expensive. We want to thank Charlie Drew for helping us to decide what we might want to do. He was never one for any high pressure sales stuff. Also we only had to pay the day of our tours.
