New Years Eve at Fred´s – an evening with mixed feelings. Location and ambience: excellent, waiters & service level: best you can get – almost too many waiters around you, food: mediocre. We had a four courses menu with scrimp cocktail, lobster bisque, beef and chocolate cake. The portions are really sized – so you better not eat anything the last hours before you arrive. Everyone was stuffed after the second starter and barely touched the rest. Good selection of wine – although fairly pricy. Would recommend the restaurant for the fantastic location and setting. If you’re looking for gourmet food – I would maybe try something else.
