We had a wonderful dinner at Careyes formal restaurant in the Sens Oasis. From the Hostess Deysy whom was lovely to take our reservation and seat us. To the Amazing service we received by Luis, Jaiiro and Miguel that kept the wine and food flowing. A big thank you to Miguel whom put a special touch with a flower heart design created for us at the table. The evening was topped off by the mouth watering food prepared by Chef Reynaldo.

Room tip: Room with Ocean view a must!

I am thankful I booked this trip through a discount site and did not pay the price many other guests did.
The staff here are incredible. They are so helpful and kind. Their attitude of service is memorable. Caesar Ramos and his partner Eric at breakfast are the best! The team at Careyes, where we ate twice, were fabulous - Louis and Miquel, Deysy, Alberto and the rest of the crew who sang Happy Birthday to my husband(see picture!) The Tomahawk steak special was so worth the extra charge!!
Arturo, who was the host at various restaurants was on top of his game!
And LISTTE on the beach - oh my! This lady ran all over the beach taking drink orders and remembering them all! She watched your cup and knew when you were ready for another and would bring it without even being asked. She is incredible! I am still in awe of her!
The staff were the best part!
Our bed was comfortable, and our room was spotless. No complaints there.
The buffet restaurant had delicious Mexican breakfast and dinner selections that were incredibly tasty!
The coffee bar had good coffee!
The hammocks in the water were amazing!!
The negatives:
- there were not enough beach chairs, and a number of them were broken. the beach area is small and the sun area is at a premium.
- One of the three elevators was out of order almost the whole time. The elevators were small(6 people was full, 8 was uncomfortable) and slow. It is a 10 floor building so elevators are necessary!
-no reservations at the restaurants. You had to line up - and if they were full you wait for the next seating time and line up again.
-the room doors have no bumpers to buffer the noise of them closing. They are beautiful wood, and close with a solid bang that echos down the hallways, even if you try to close then softly.
We did enjoy our stay aside from the negatives. It was a much needed break from grey, cold Michigan days and the pressures of life. The sunshine, water and warmth were good for the soul.

We just returned from a week at this resort.

Rooms,are spacious and very clean. Bathrooms large and we had good water pressure and hot water. However there was an issue with water for one evening, air conditioning worked very well almost too well every other day water replaced with a mimiun of 5 bottles beer and pop

Buffet most days breakfast and dinner were good. Nice selection and themes for dinner

Bites 9 restaurant we ate there almost every lunch. Good selection on the menu and wonderful service. Daniel Perez was always our server he was amazing and so much fun and work very harding Jose ceballor was the bar tender he made great drinks. Ask him for the Jose special.

White Box al a cart was really good it was a new concept of 7 courses great food however we were still hungry and went to the buffet afterwards it was the only one we went too the buffet was always good
Coffee and me was greats for teas and ice coffees

Pool area only had beds and were always filled everyday beach was small and if you didn’t get up by 830 and saved beds then you were laying on towels for a resort to hold over 800 people it did accommodate for beach and pool area

Kinky night club had amazing shows 3 nights a week that’s were the disco is for dancing

The entertainment staff only came out every other day and danced on the bar however there was always others dressed up running around the beach and engaging people it was fun
They have a foam party on Saturday which looked fun. However why on Saturday when it’s the big travel day most people are leaving and new people arriving so not many around to enjoy it. Move the party to Tuesday or Wednesday
Neilson is head of the entertainment he was lots of fun

Over all a good resort its small so if you don’t like walking then this is the place if you get a good deal as we did go you’ll enjoy it there,
will I go back No, but only because I like to try different places

Had a great experience at the Grand Sens Cancún. Sian Kaan is the way to go. You get into all the great restaurants, great drinks and service. Gerardo at the front desk was very welcoming as was Betzabe. Lizette took wonderful care of us at the beach. Food and drinks anytime we wanted. So friendly and attentive. Breakfast buffet with Cesar as our server was a great way to start the day....the mimosas helped as well! Nice ceviche and sushi at the Cafe Del Mar or great pizza at the White Box for lunch.
We had excellent meals everywhere. We especially enjoyed Benazusa for dinner. So different and delicious. Emilio took very good care of us there. Valentina and her whole staff did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome.
The rooms are really nice and comfortable. Great view of the resort and ocean from room 447. The pool was great with fun entertainment. All in all a fantastic stay. Can’t wait to go back!

My girlfriend and I are both pretty easy going types and we were able to enjoy our time together in Mexico, but there was nothing about the Grand Sens that inspired us to return there. I've only been to Mexico one other time, and it was a 5-star Secrets resort, so I may not be the best judge, but here are my impressions from a 7-day stay at Grand Sens with Sian Kaan room upgrade. Staff are helpful and friendly for the most part, although there are not enough staff in my opinion. We had great experiences at the White Box and Benazuza restaurants, and the rest of the food, buffets and such were fine. My girlfriend got violently ill the same night we had eaten at Benazuza, but it could just be a coincidence. I ate the exact same food and was fine. This is an older resort and is quite dated. Two tiny elevators and only one working most of the time. Our room was large but had non-opening windows and no balcony. Temperature control was a bit of an issue too--we had to get blankets due to cold AC at night. Hot water was not sufficient and there was no hot water at all for the jaccuzzi tub in our room so we didn't use it. Would have liked to though. Decor and fixtures dated. This resort seems to cater more to younger singles and couples as well as locals as they provide a discount for locals. We found the party crowd a bit noisy for our taste and because of the design of the resort the party noise and 120bpm dance music (which is constant) was quite loud in the room. Drinks are free of course, but it's not always that easy to get one. You really need to line up and wait a lot of the time and there's little to no drink service on the beach or pool area. I only saw one girl serving the whole beach during the day. Beach is small and crowded. Beach is public too so lots of vendors passing through. If you just want a few days in the sun for a moderate price, Grand Sens might be OK for you. If you want a really nice luxury experience, well-appointed resort with excellent food and and drink service, this is probably not the place for you.
