“Open air, inspiring worship”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2013

What a wonderful religious experience for vacationers. It is a great blend of local people with gringos escaping winter in U.S. and Canada. The people and services are most welcoming and hospitable. The open air space is comfortable, the statues are beautiful, music is upbeat and raises one's spirit to God. A great sacred place to give thanks to God, pray and be in solidarity.,

“Big Party around Thanksgiving”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

If you happen to be in Cancun around Thanksgiving (which is typically when the movable feast of Christ the King falls), be sure to stop by the church. They have a wonderful festival beginning the Sunday before. It is like a big county fair, with rides and games for children. Wonderful community! The masses are short too (about 40 minutes), a plus for those with a taste for efficiency!

“Resting place to pray”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

Awasome. The virgin Mary statue they have in front of the church is one of the most beatiful photo spots of Cancun. You can listen the mass in English. The risen Jesus decorating the chapel is just pretty and very inspiring.

“Iglasia de Christo Rey in Downtown Cancun, Mexico”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2012

The Church of Christ the King [Christo Rey] in downtown Cancun, Mexico is simple but elegant. The Pastor is joyful and he blesses religious items after most Masses. The Mass schedule is as follows:
1) Mondat through Friday - 7AM, 9AM, and 7PM.
2) Saturday - 7AM, 6PM,7PM, and 8PM.
3) Sunday - 8AM, 10AM, 11AM, 12 Noon, 5PM, 6PM, 7PM, and 8PM.

There are no Masses in English posted on the Church Bulletin Board.

Mass in Mexico is especially reverent because the Bishops of Mexico have promulgate 'Communion on the Tongue', so there is little or no 'receiving in the hand'. And, the Mexican people fill the Church with uplifting and heartfelt singing.

The Mexican Catholics welcome Americans with especially friendly handshakes at the 'La Paz del Senior.,' A brief visit or vstaying for Mass will refresh your spirituality.
