Went in April 2012 with a mate. Had a great time, couldn't fought the food, drink, and especially the service. Be careful of the pool as my white speedos turned yellow !! must be something they put in the pool. The beach is near enough next to the pirate ship's and there was plenty of seaweed around and you are near to where the boats go out to sea so can get a little choppy round there. The reps at the hotel during the day and at night were superb and they laid on coaches to take us to the nightclubs, you will need to get a cab home of course and they and buses are very cheap indeed. Go to the wet and wild water park, and just have the time of your lives, going back to Cancun in May and one last thing, the enterainment was very poor I thought, just people dancing around and it finished at 10pm !

Ignore any negative reviews the holiday your about to go on is not a 7 star hotel but it is a clean, friendly, lively, nicely decorated, efficient, good food, great mix of people.
We read too many reviews before we went but it is what you make of it and we had an amazing time. The excursion reps were very helpful and we booked the Chichen Itza and dolphins/waterpark along pirate ship night. All of which I'd recommend and barter a good deal but don't push your luck!
The Mexican was our favourite restaurant and it had delicious authentic guacamole and salsa and the staff in the restaurant were so funny and friendly!
The reps Mildred and Julio were amazing too!
So go and enjoy yourself!

hotel was very clean ,staff very friendly and helpful very good service at bars and buffet rest.french balonys are terrible ,no room to sit only stand ,ads from west jet did not decribe this ,they only show pictures of deluxe rooms with sitting balonys very deceiving pictures ,ps buyer beware ,hotel managerment lack understanding as we had to argue to get a king bed that we requested and some kind of sitting space outside .We were put in the complainers room above the kitchen and supply lane got all the food smells and early morning noise to wake us at 5-6 am ,asked to be moved they could not because hotel was full ,but for a $40 per night upgrade they could find space ,otherwise food was good ,drinks were great ,beach was small but clean .would go back to this hotel but with a package upgrade to balony suite ,jan 12 to 19 ,2013

I can honestly say I was so disappointed with this hotel especially as we were on our honeymoon. I can not fault the cleanliness of our room or hotel although the balcony was none exsistent, the friendliness of the hotel waiting staff & bar staff were brilliant that's the only postivitve thing along with the lovely food we had at the seafood restaurant. Whilst we had popped to lunch one day we came back to find our belongings had been stolen from inside my bag which was pushed under the sunbed. Worryingly we suspect someone was watching us all morning (Admittedly this was our own fault for leaving them & was the one & only time we had in the 10days we'd been there at this point) the manager was very patronising & basically said it wasn't their fault but then security was stepped up I had a feeling it had happened before by staffs reaction. We then had to run up a massive bill on my mobile having to ring home to transfer money into my bank account & to call my husbands bank to cancel bank card & his i phone which was also stolen along with brand new headphones purchased at the airport. By the last evening that was the final straw there was constant drilling from some one doing DIY out side from 12.30-2.30am my husband had to leave our hotel room to tell the man to stop then proceeded to complain to hotel reception staff (which are the most unhelpful staff in the whole of the hotel & should learn some customer care from the waiters & bar staff) the guy at the reception claimed it wasnt at 'our hotel' but after much discussion he then said ok no more drilling once my husband had asked for the manager. We liked the idea of this hotel as it was recommend for young couples, their was something definately missing i don't think that the saxaphone player every single night helped the atmosphere. Overall I would not recommend this hotel as I think we paid over the odds for this type of hotel & customer service.

let me start by saying i was a little nervous booking this resort because we've never been to any resorts under 4 stars,when we got to the resort i was pleasantly surprised how nice and clean this resort is ,the rooms are very spacious the beach is not big but has room for everyone and the same for the pool always has chairs for everyone,the food was good always found something in the buffet we did the seafood a la carte twice it was delicious(had the steak one night and the chicken the other both were good) we had a ground floor wich we never had before and it was great very close to the pool and the beach the only thing i didn't really care for was that our balcony was at the back so didn't have much of a view but nothing to worry about overall this resort easily deserves a 4 -4.5 star rating in my opinion we had a great time

we stayed at the resort for xmas and after the 24hr flight delay were very pleased to have arrived. Our room was on the 2nd floor, very spacious with a hugh bathroom. Yes the balcony was very small but we were aware before we arrived and chose not to upgrade the room so it was not a suprise. The room was kept spotless throughout our stay. The food was good with sufficient choice in both the buffet and Spanish restaurant. The bar staff were efficient and always remembered what we drank. The beach is smaller than other resorts we have stayed at but again we knew this beforehand and it was the compromise we made for the excellent price we paid. It was great to have the ferry terminal next door as we make several day trips to the Isla Mujeres which is a must do. Also the helicoptor is situated next door and we took a trip on xmas day which was great value for money. The location near to Downtown rather than Party Zone is no problem as the buses run 24/7 and it costs about 40p to travel the whole hotel zone.Overall a great holiday for a great price.

Room Tip: high floor away from the road if you are a light sleeper

I stayed here 11th sept 2012 for 2weeks..dont get me wrong the first week i enjoyed but the second week i couldnt wait get on the plain home. Their was only so much u can take. Food lovely 1st week,then 2nd week didnt enjoy.. same entertainment on but some was good. Internet...well.. baught an internet card.. 60min for 50 or 80 pesos i think. Something like that cant remember now. But anyway i payed money on an internet card,i couldnt get on internet as i typed in the code but not workin. Went down to reception and said can i have another card as this is not working. Its as of she didnt believe me so i tryed it in front of her also she tryed it as i was using my samsung s3 she had no choice only to give me my money back which she wasnt pleased about. Turned out that internet was down for 24hrs and i got told my phone was faulty lol. 24hr bar upstairs is good help ya self bar whatever u wanna call it.. i had an argument with my fam and stayed up there on my own drinking till 4am drinkin and eating.. so its handy. Pool excersies through the day thats good. Everything good. But a weeks enough.
