This was a fantastic day! I highly recommend. It was from 10am-5pm and the crew were fantastic. Unfortunately we went on a very windy day but the crew made it so fun that it didn't even matter. I had young kids (age 8, 6, 4) and they couldn't participate in snorkeling but again, that didn't matter because the crew made it so much fun! I highly recommend. We are coming back next year and will be 100% doing this trip again.

within minutes of setting sail, the music was turned on full blast. We had to yell at each other to hear our own voices. the weather was a bit chili on our day to sail. there were really no options to stay in a warmer place without ear plugs. when the captain was asked to turn down the music. He yelled. This is a party boat in my face.
this was my second catamaran trip. unfortunately it was not as good as my first. I would not recommend this captain because he would not turn it down even just a little. His other services were right on. best advise is to check before you book, even simple things make a difference.

Just did a day cruise on a catamaran to Isla Mujeres, including snorkeling at a coral reef, a lovely meal at a local restaurant/local food that was excellent, and much fun while sailing thanks to enthusiastic captain & crew; gorgeous clean & well-maintained catamaran with all necessary equipment stocked in range of sizes and in new condition (Abatros Marine Platinum cruise; arranged via Westin Cancun Resort & Spa concierge "Adrian"); recommend lots of sunblock, visor, rash-guard shirt so you can stay up on front deck the whole time. Clientele was relatively upscale across wide age range: newlyweds, a few family groups with middle-school to high school age kids (not sure I'd recommend for under age 10), a few young professional couples/groups of friends, and a very few seniors (I'm 63, traveled with a friend who's 60...we had a blast :) The actual island of Isla Mujeres has a gorgeous coastline (well worth renting a golf cart to drive around the island: $25/hour and you need a minimum of 1 hour just to circuit the island)...one side (where you dock) is touristy/commercial...nothing special...but the other side has long stretches of beautiful rocky and sandy shoreline and some interesting homes. Must see is the Mayan temple to Ixchel (central Mayan goddess/spirit) which is why the island is named Isla Mujeres (Island of the Women...google for more)--it is a small and not particularly exciting ruin...but...it is historically important (especially of interest in terms of feminist archaeology & theology)

First, I'm a bit freaked out by Tracy's post, wow!

As for my own opinion, The boats they have are really nice, our sea's were 3-4ft with the occasional 5-6 and it sliced right through the waves. The staff was great, making sure that the drinks kept flowing,

The check in process is very slow and we had to wait over an hour for all the boats to come in before the Taxi would take us back to our hotel.

If it's windy, don't plan on snorkeling or parasailing and then don't expect a refund. They don't tell you that until the trip is almost over which annoyed a lot of people. I'm a
Scuba instructor so I knew that it wasn't going to happen so I didn't even bring my gear.

The food at Isla is ok and Isla is not the greatest. No need to take an American Express to Mexico, no one takes it. Some people had fun renting golf carts but there wasn't even a decent bar there. I would have rather sailed more with the extra time instead of hanging out at Isla for three hours.

Really nice boat though.

Took this tour on the second day of our vacation and it was awesome! Our tour guide, Manuel, and the staff were really great and made it a great event. There was plenty to drink, great music, snorkeling and spinnaker sailing. Manny did an awesome job of keeping everyone entertained and engaged. We had a great experience on the Big Chill. We'll be back for sure!
