My girlfriend and I signed up for the lunch, golf carts, & snorkeling (Platinum package). The trip over and back was unlimited drinks which were appreciated. We arrived at around 9:30 and left the docks around 10:30, so don't worry if your taxi driver doesn't know where he was going like ours. We arrived back at the docks around 5 pm. I would recommend the golf carts as there's not a lot to do other then shop while on Isla Mujeres unless you take a golf cart. However, the directions to the lighthouse were not very good... If you partake at the round-a-about take the second exit not the first ;)
The trip started with a sail across the aisle to Isla Mujeres where you stop for lunch, during the trip across we had a few drinks, at the lunch it had a main course of veggies and a white fish (Tilapia maybe), not much to look at, but very tasty, as well as a serve yourself buffet. If you eat quickly you can walk the beach nearby which is amazing as the see grass starts about 10-20 yards into the ocean which almost no waves so you can do a little exploring. Then you sail to the main dock at Isla Mujeres shopping area where you can hang out or take the carts. We rushed the carts a little trying to avoid being left behind, which we could have stretched out and seen a few more spots. After that, the snorkeling trip begins it's about 20-30 minutes in the water following a current so you don't have to be a great swimmer to keep up with the group.
The snorkeling was good but short. They are very organized and controlling so if you're new it's great, if you're looking for more serious snorkeling this won't be the trip for you.
Overall we enjoyed the day very much, got a great tan, enjoyed the crew and their humor, the lunch was delicious, and there are some interesting fish to see on the snorkeling trip we saw at least 20 different types including barracuda and false clown fish. I think March may not be the best time or we just had a bad day... we didn't get to see any turtles or dolphins grant there was a pretty wicked cold front that hit Cancun during our stay leading to rough seas most of the time there including this day.
