Revisited after a year and it was like coming home.
Tables are limited in Du Mexique, but we managed to get one. We were welcomed as old friends. It was nice to see other people from the hotel zone venturing out and trying du mexique. The atmosphere was lovely.
Dinner was excellent with Alan's great touch. I enjoyed the coquille and the lamb. My wife loved her spinach soup with Boursin cheese and the tournedos rossini.
For dessert, she had strawberries with fresh pepper. Lovely simple dessert with the pepper adding a deft flavour.
I, of course, made time for Alain to make a chocolate souffle with a side dressing of creme anglaise.
Sonya and Alain, we hope to be back in Cancun sooner next time.
