Four of us went for dinner at Du Mexique. We were greeted personally by Alain, the chef, and his lovely wife. He took us through the menu and made recommendations. The wine list was comprehensive. They brought us a delicious complimentary pate for an hors d'oeuvre. I had the garlic cappuccino, which was delicious. My wife had a mushroom appetizer, and for the main course we had the pork loin with a carmelized apple sauce and his 'like water for chocolate' specialty. Absolutely delicious. We were only disappointed we didn't have time to stay for dessert! This is a small, quiet place for a romantic dinner - not for kids or big groups or celebrations. It was not expensive for Cancun - we paid almost the same for a mediocre dinner at our hotel the night before. Just go to enjoy the food!
