“Absolutely Wonderful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2012

Absolutely enjoyed our vacation. The staff were courteous and helpful, the rooms clean and very romantic. We had an Ocean View room (7th Floor) and we could not have asked for better.
We thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment throughout the week including the release of the baby sea turtles. Wow!
Food was wonderful at every location we went. Dining at the Benazuza was a phenomenal experience. It truly was an explosion of taste, texture and presentation. Congratulations!
We wish to especially thank Ever from the Lounge and Alfredo from the Coba restaurant for the wonderful service they provided. You will always be remembered.
The entire experience was perfect. No complaints from these happy travelers. We found Oasis Sens relaxing which is exactly what we were looking for. We definitely recommend the Oasis Sens and would return again.

Paid a lot of money for this holiday and expected more.... Was taken to the incorrect hotel for starters, when we did finally get here we were not given any of the VIP services we paid for... VIP pool not open and VIP bar tender appeared moody VIP bar mostly closed!!! general services apart from that were ok until day 9 no towels, hair conditioner or shower gel and the coffee machine hadn't been cleaned... The pool hasn't been cleaned for a week and the fridge wasn't restocked either. My other half complained in writing but nothing has been done since, we have 4 days left here and were considering recommending this hotel to about 10 people back in the uk for a get together next year but now have second thoughts on that. On a good note food is fantastic and waiting staff are great, the main reception needs sorting as they don't understand English so this can be a problem ( they also need to smile a bit more ) update to follow!!!

When we arrived at the resort, they had me get on one of their computers to check our reservation with my travel agency, even though I had already had confirmation from my travel agency that is was ok to push out our trip a few days because of Hurrican Sandy. The resort should have already had confirmation!!! Next we get lured to a desk after check in with a lady thanking us for booking with them and offering us free gifts, only to find out it was for a time share... We just wanted to go to our room after a long day of travel!! She was not pleasant after we told her we were not interested and only wanted to relax. Our room had a leaky faucet, cold water running all over the counter top, the toilet didn't flush, and there were ants all over near the coffee maker and the mini fridge... It was almost near impossible to get a drink down near the beach or by the pool, the bartenders were constantly leaving the bar unattended, and were only pleasant "if" they were tipped. The person at Wimpy Burger by the pool refused to make us anything to eat, he told us to go to the Sushi bar. We ended up getting food from the Happy Chicken only to find human hair all over my food when it arrived, needless to say I didn't touch it!!!! The buffet was VERY small, and the variety of food did not change on a daily basis. It was very uncomfortable to eat any where at this resort when they expected a tip at all of them, I have never felt this way at an all-inclusive before. The only place that was enjoyable to dine at was the Italian restaurant. Our room was never cleaned around the same time everyday, a few times it wasn't done until 5:00 in the evening and it took them an hour to just make the bed and give us new towels, and they only gave us one towel..I had asked the cleaning lady for more towels and she told me no. On our last day, we received a phone call at 7:00 a.m and they told us this was our wake-up call... I never asked for a wake-up call, and then we received a knock at our door from the concierge asking for our luggage at 7:00 a.m.. when check out is not until noon. I will NEVER stay at this resort again. The last time we were in Cancun we stayed at the Royal Solaris, and that is where we will stay if we ever go back to Cancun. Extremely disappointed in the Oasis Sens.. especially when I read so many great reviews. This resort is below having low expectations.. For the most part staff is extremely rude and it was not the vacation I was expecting. Thank goodness the weather was wonderful...

We spent seven nights in the Oasis Sens. The hotel is gorgeous and very modern, it is kept up and very clean. Checking in was fast and we were given ocean view rooms. There r two different types thou, with or without balcony, so make sure u specify, if that is something u care about. The rooms r beautiful, clean and minimalistic, we loved that. The LED lighting on the headboard adds a nice touch, romantic. Lovely beach, turquoise ocean, a bit unsettled, but it was great. The pool is great, clean and the chairs there r awesome, nice and soft, unlike the ones by the beach. Staff was very nice in general, we loved getting cappuccinos from the lobby bar daily after a day in the sun. Restaurants: well, that is something that is lacking quite a bit in this hotel. U have the buffet, which is open for breakfast(where we ate every morning, and it was great)and dinner, Moonlight(italian restaurant)open lunch and dinner, Benazuza(which u will probably go once) and thats pretty much it. Then u have the chicken place next to the pool, it was all right, and the mexican rest which was not bad. We ate daily at the italian rest, the food was great, but the menu was kept same everyday(they have one for lunch and one for dinner) Manuel was our waiter frequently at the italian rest and we were very pleased with his service, very funny and made our lunch and dinner enjoyable. Nightlife here is none existent. THey have shows daily, which could clash with your dinner time going, so u could miss them easily, they start at 8 30 t0 930 or earlier. They have a lounge type bar upstairs, which is very quite and barely anyone there. Pretty much it was quite boring at night, so if u come here to relax only ok but if u come to have night fun as well no.

My husband and I (along with another couple) stayed at the Sens from Oct 16-21 for our honeymoon. The resort is very clean and beautiful. Upon arrival, we were not given the room promised, and no matter how many emails, confirmations, etc you have - you are not guaranteed the room of choice. We asked to move to ocean view instead of the lagoon/street side and we were told they were booked until the next day. After a few hours, we found this to be a total lie. My father-in-law surprised us and booked the trip as well. They checked in several hours AFTER us and were given an ocean front room (which we requested earlier in the day). Thus, they lied. It bothered me at first but we didn't let that get to us because honestly, the pool/beach is the place to be anyways. We were in our room pretty much a few hours each night only to sleep/shower. We were moved the following day to an ocean front room.

The food was average - good. The best food to us was the Happy Chicken by the pool. We were not able to go to the fancy restaurant downstairs because of the dress attire. Our fault, not theirs. They are very strict. You can't even wear tennis shoes with long pants, must be dress shoes. Silly imo - we are on a beach people!

The drinks were good but if you want "name- brand" you have to pay extra. Really wasn't needed because you can drink all you want of the other and feel rather good by the end of the day! :))

The beach was stunning, the pools were beautiful and very clean. There is a VIP pool which is located on the other side of the hotel so we completely forgot about it until the day we were leaving. It looks very quiet and relaxing. Clean as well.

The VIP upgrade isn't necessary. After we arrived there is a small pool on your balcony but after thinking it through, I wasn't really interested in getting in it because I wasn't sure whom else had been in there doing God knows what! :)) Your room does have a safe, which we used and nothing was taken.

All the reviews talk about Carlos....well it's true! He is great! We didn't see any children, which is what we wanted. Very quiet and relaxing. Feel asleep many times by the pool and on the beach. Plenty of chairs to choose from and not over crowded.

There is one main complaint I have. All the poolside/beach bars and restaurants close down by 5pm so if you are by the pool or on the beach, you cannot get a drink or snacks after that. Some of the workers even agreed they need to open a little earlier (for those needing a hangover drink) and stay open a little later. I guess it forces people to come in and eat/drink at the other restaurants but we didn't like that at all. I'm not ready to go dry off, get cleaned up, leave the pool/beach to eat by 5pm. This is minor however.

The hotel also releases baby sea turtles every evening on the beach around 8:30. William (I think is his name) is super! He is like a jack of all trades! He is always there, working somewhere in the hotel with a huge smile! Very very welcoming!

We booked a trip on the Catamaran. So much fun! Recommend this trip! It had open bar, lots of music, buffet on an island, snorkeling and more! We booked it with Alejandro right at the hotel. He is usually where you get the yellow towels (by the pool) at the hamburger place.

Overall, this resort is very clean, nice and a good value.

Room Tip: Obviously ask for ocean view - lagoon is basically the street.
