This is our second trip here for a Mother/daughter get away. The service is great, the hotel was at 100% occupancy and we could not tell. Ask for Edwin Perez, he will take care of you like family. Consuelo on the beach was an excellent server and made us feel at home.
The food at davinci was very good and the sushi bar too! You can't go wrong :)
Have fun at this wonderful spot!

This was our first visit to cancun and after recommendation from a friend we decided on the omni. The first few days of our holiday were amazing however unfortunately from there things went down hill fast once the spring breakers arrived. On speaking with staff it was the first year the hotel had allowed spring breakers into the hotel and it was quite obvious they could not cope. With only one bar open in the evening anyone not on spring break was effectively forced out of the hotel if they wanted a comfortable evening. In addition to completely spoiling our holiday the hotel then down graded the buffet and expected clients to pay extra for room service or anything other that what can be described as 2 star quality food. When we spoke to the hotel we were merely advised that they had changed policy during our stay due to the hotel now being at full capacity and the number of students requesting late night room service when they came in extremely drunk and waking up all other residents in the early hours of the morning.

It really is a shame that such a lovely hotel has been spoilt by a decision made by management to change what the hotel is all about. From the lovely staff to the jacuzzi bar on the beach this small non chain hotel should have been our dream holiday however unfortunately it wasn't it was a nightmare which was only made bearable by the staff who were been out through a living hell as much as we were

This hotel offers outstanding customer service with a friendly, helpful, and hardworking staff along with it's great amenities there is plenty to do and enjoy at this resort. Amazing food, beautiful rooms and a perfect location. The hotel is family friendly and still a great spring break spot. If your looking to go down here to enjoy the crazy spring break festivities it's a quick walk down the beach but the hotel itself stays very quaint and relaxing. It's the best of both worlds. This hotel gets 5 stars. All inclusive is the way to go at this hotel. But be respectful and tip the people who take good care of you, it says tips are included but I disagree. They work very hard for very little. I will be coming back to this hotel for sure.

Prior reviews really helped me in choosing this hotel. I was not disappointed. This hotel is kept up to high standards. Very clean, very organized. Hotel staff was amazing and food was good. It is away from the "party zone", so this made a great quiet place to relax and enjoy your vacation.

This was our first trip to an all-inclusive resort so we don't have anything to compare it to really. However, Omni Cancun was quite nice. The rooms were spacious and kept very clean. The service was far more than we expected. We were never left wanting for anything. Every time we called the front desk or housekeeping, the phone was picked up before the first ring was even done ringing. Everyone was amazingly friendly and helpful, and no one ever made us wait.

The grounds were quite lovely. The pools were beautiful and plentiful...never crowded. The restaurants were nice...but one recommendation...make reservations for the two fancy restaurants (Deva and DaVinci) the moment you get there. They fill up fast and aren't open every night. Trattoria's pizzas were fresh and delicious, the main dining had plenty of options and the food was generally good. The Mexican restaurant was nothing special but the nachos you can make yourself were really good...especially with their fresh guacamole. We never ate at the sushi place, but it seemed pretty popular. Pina Colada restaurant, right on the beach, was very nice and never had a wait...no reservations required either. Drinks were all nicely prepared and tasted great.

We had paid for a lagoon view room, but with some nice asking, we were upgraded for free with a ocean view room. It was a perfect location and quite beautiful. I don't think I would have enjoyed a lagoon view room. It was also a view of the road and not nearly as nice.

If I have any complaints, it would be that the room had an adjoining door to another room (not companions of ours) and we could very easily hear any noise in the room above the average voice...there was a child in there that would cry and we could hear it very easily). We didn't really hear much else other than the adjoining room tho.

Also, not the fault of the resort, but it was so super windy there that the ocean was pretty much off limits for swimming. In fact, almost our whole trip, they had the red flags up that meant to stay out of the water. We ventured in about to our hips and with the waves, it was at time up to our shoulders so we didn't dare go farther. I was told that this was windy season and May would have been calmer. It really is probably the only thing that would keep us from returning to Omni, as the resorts on the north side of the peninsula have calm waters.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend it to friends...who don't mind wind :)

Room Tip: go ocean view. Room 1902 was perfect!!!
