We just back from the Flamingo Resort Cancun where we stayed at for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and it was Great! Great value, friendly staff, clean resort and very clean rooms.
Only thing to note:
The food quality is “ok” (not bad) and buffet section is very limited. Also, the alcohol seemed watered down (other reviews have mentioned this, as well).... that or a person that has been on a diet with no alcohol for the last 4 months has a super high tolerance! Haha
Suggestions to staying guests:
-upgrade to the junior suite; as it is a bigger room with a “private” pool that connects to the room. It was only $35 more a night.
-know that not everything is “all inclusive”. There were certain areas on the beach that were for “Flamingo Club Members only”, some items on the restaurant menu, some wines are at an extra cost.
-just like every single thing you do in Cancun(this is outside of the resort), price is negotiable, there is always an added fee at the destination(ie taxes, docking fees, gas surcharge), you cannot use your camera on any of the excursions; as someone is taking your photo to charge you for and of course you have to tip everyone at all times.
- Free parking
