Overall I would say that our week at Le Blanc was excellent. It is well located and only 20 minutes from Cancun Airport. There are several transportation options but we found FAMAR Transfers, by far the best option, the service, the vehicle, the price and the driver Jose were excellent. It cost about $60-70 with tip which is not that much more than many of the shuttles (in some cases a better deal than some shuttles) and the shuttles may make numerous stops on the way and with FAMAR Transfers was a private transfer. The service and attitude of all employees was excellent. This includes front desk, bell boys, maids, servers, and activity staff. The room was very comfortable with a nice bed, shower, and hot tub. Room service was always prompt at all hours of the day. We had a nice poolside view from our balcony with a partial view of the ocean.

The main pool is beautiful, comfortable lounge chairs and wide variety of cocktails. The pool staff was friendly. The food was really good. Breakfast buffets were excellent! Made to order omelets, waffles, french toast, and pancakes. Our favorites restaurants were the oriental and the French cuisine. We went to Cancun downtown at a place called La Parilla. Truly fantastic food!

The only times we left the resort were an afternoon trip to Cancun downtown and a day trip to the ruins at Tulum, we booked this tour with FAMAR as well, an all inclusive tour, our guide Vicente was very informative. This resort is a good place to relax. If you are looking for a wild spring break style party, this is not for you. If you just want to kick back and get waited on hand and foot as you forget about the real world, then a week here may be just what you need.

My husband and I have visited Le Blanc two times now. The first time (after much research), he booked it for our honeymoon over Thanksgiving in November of 2008. We had never been to Cancun, and we were not sure what to expect. At the airport, they provide a private shuttle to their hotel, which is soo nice, especially on a hot day with all the people standing around waiting for taxis and buses. I was speechless from the moment we arrived in the lobby. They greet you with coconut milk and a cold aromatherapy washcloth for your neck as well as a flower for the ladies. A butler takes your luggage straight to your room, and it is waiting when you arrive to your room. We were pampered the entire week....from gourmet food choices to a personal butler to a hot tub in your room to beautiful beachfront views to pristine pools and a crystal clear beach. You can even choose different aromatherapy scents for your room as well as a FULLY stocked mini-bar everyday and FREE long distance calls to the states as well as internet service in your room if you bring a laptop. It was all breathtaking, and I felt like I was in a dream. I have never experienced service of this caliber before. The temperature was in the high 70s and low 80s that time of year in November. We were still able to swim, but it was a little chilly once you were out of the water. Just sitting in the sun with a book and drink was PERFECT though. Also, since it was our honeymoon, they provided us with a special dinner one night that was SUPERB along with champagne waiting in our room when we returned and the hot tub filled with bubbles and rose petals....AMAZING!

We were so spoiled on that trip that we wanted to go back within a year. We went again in September of 2009, less than a year later. The temperatures were in the upper 80s at this time, and it couldn't have been more perfect weather (however, it was also hurricane season, so we took our chances). Also, this time I went to the spa for a massage, which was absolutely heavenly. Their spa is state of the art with all the newest technologies. They had also added a new restaurant, the French cuisine since the last time we were there. It was very fancy and elegant and the food was amazing. Our favorite restaurant was the oriental because my husband and I love sushi, and it also had some of the best tempura calamari.

And, as an added bonus, there're no kids!

The ONLY drawback: If you are looking for a place with lots of activities, then Le Blanc probably isn't the best option. They have activities listed each day, but few, if any people get involved because the crowd is so small (and is an older generation...probably due to the cost). It does; however, have a state of the art gym for working out. If you want a peaceful, relaxing experience, with service like none other, and amazing food, this is the perfect romantic spot!

Le Blanc is absolutely beautiful. From the moment you arrive, you are pampered beyond belief. The food is wonderful, the entire staff is unbelievable and it is worth every penny. Don't hesitate, just stay here and you will never regret it. We tend to avoid staying in the same place when we travel because we want to see it all, but we can't stay anywhere else in Mexico now. If you need to relax because you, like us, work really hard all year, then go to Le Blanc!

The place was amazing! Just need to get something off my chest first. We arrived well before check-in time, so we were fine with waiting. They did give us wristbands so we could eat, but we were told our room would be ready soon, so we kept close and waited. After being told it would be within the hour, it took several, which was annoying. We would have rather been told the truth so we could go do whatever, instead of sitting around and waiting. Ok, on to the good stuff!

The food was incredible! I'm a simple guy, so my favorite place was the pool-side snacks or the room service, and my wife's favorite was the International (casual) restaurant. The rest were great, no complaints about any of it.

Service was great! By the pool, in the room, in the restaurants, on the beach wherever. Our butler would make our jacuzzi up with bubbles, bath salts and aromatherapy every night when we were out to dinner. It was great to come back to.

The pools are great, and they designate one pool for activities so they don't "annoy" those wanting to relax. They give you an activities list, and we were interested in doing the painting activity. We did try to contact them, but nobody knew what that was or how to do it. We left a message with the activity director, but never received a call-back.

Overall, you are paying for some over-the-top hoity-toity stuff, that really has no purpose but to make you feel fancy. Not my thing, but it isn't really a detriment. We will go back, but I wouldn't mind trying some other Palace Resorts with a little more simple taste.

This trip was beyond anything I have ever experienced before! It was the perfect start to our marriage and we can't stop talking about how great Le Blanc is. Unfortunately I think we're ruined for anything less than this... Le Blanc is our new standard! It was the ultimate in luxury; read on for more details regarding what we did and didn't like.

Overall impression: A quiet and relaxing spa getaway with amazing service and great food. A great place to escape from a noisy and stressful life.

Things we liked:
- Most incredible and expansive view of the ocean I've ever seen--even the view of the hotel was nice.

- Excellent service: Every time we walked to the elevator, our floor's butler had already called the elevator for us, he would greet us and immediately ask how our day was and if there was anything that he could do to make our day better. He was constantly offering to bring us more wine, snacks, towels, whatever we needed. The rest of the staff was equally as accommodating--constantly asking us if we would like more of this or that. Also, my husband and I both speak a little Spanish and the entire staff was delighted to hear us ordering and conversing with them in Spanish.

- The Beach and Pool areas: Although there was a cold front there when we visited which prevented us from swimming most days, we still were able to enjoy soaking up some sun while reading books or relaxing by the pool. All the pools are very well-maintained. The service by the pool and beach was amazing too. Staffers would literally track us down to make sure that we had a fresh drink and plenty of towels and food. The chef at the pool bar remembered what we had ordered the previous day and asked us if it was to our liking and if we would like the same order again today. Like I said, it was absolutely beyond anything else I had ever experienced before.

- Restaurants: The food was so rich. We had sushi, steak, lobster, king prawns, fresh salads, custom pizzas, gourmet sandwiches, fresh fruit, and so much more. The variety was very good, we had to work on making sure that we got all the restaurants in during our stay. Lumiere, Le Blanc's French restaurant, served a very formal 5+ course dinner that was fantastic. Again, the service was incredible. We left each meal satisfied. Oh, and everything was plated beautifully which added to the whole luxury experience.

- Shopping: There is a shopping mall, open air market, and a few restaurants, bars, and clubs just a mile or so walk up the beach. I was able to convince my husband to take me there so we could get some cutesy gifts for our family. It wasn't super fancy or anything, but was adequate for our needs.

- Spa: Best deep tissue massage of my life--it was actually a deep tissue massage, not just a run-of-the-mill back rub like I've had in the past when asking for a deep tissue massage. The relaxation part of the spa (which includes hot tubs, a dry sauna, a steam room, etc) is open to all guests for free, but the massages and spa services are available for purchase.

Things we didn't like:
- We were probably the youngest ones there--which is probably due to the price
- Going in the winter, peak season, meant that we had to pay twice as much as we would've had we gone in the summer
- A few rich, snotty guests who were rude, disrespectful, and condescending to the staff and sometimes even to other guests

We stayed at LeBlanc 3/19-3-23. We had stayed here previously on NYE of 2008. The resort is top notch. We travel to Mexico on a regular basis (6-8 times a year) as we consider it our second home, and therefore have stayed at many resorts. In early Febuary we decided to try Sun Palace, very disappointing I would never return. If your budget can afford it stay at Le Blanc!

We stayed at Le Blanc for four nights, Mar 10th - 14th, 2010. What can I say but....it was "my pleasure" to return to Le Blanc for a 2nd time! Yes. It is as wonderfully relaxing as everyone says it is. The rooms are as beautiful and spotless as everyone says they are. The service is as pleasant and friendly as stated by almost everyone who visits. And, its great that you can be sitting by the FABULOUS infinity pool or BEAUTIFUL beach within 2 hours of getting off of the plane!

Food at each restaurant was very good (steaks, fish, etc.). Drinks were very good, but if you're only a Grey Goose vodka drinker, you may be disappointed. Every bar in every location is always out of it, no matter when you ask for it. So, we settled for Level Vodka and it was not bad at all. The spa is wonderful and the gym is fantastic and has great equipment. It was very nice to have the iPod docking radio in the room, which sounded pretty good actually. We will definitely return and when we do, we will certainly stay a little longer.

I recommend trying to learn a little Spanish when visiting if you don't speak the language. Any attempt to speak even a little Spanish is really appreciated by all who are there to serve you. Everyone is always willing to assist in any way they can and responds with a friendly smile and with a friendly "My Pleasure". Lucinda, who waits on guests on the beach and at the pools was absolutely wonderful and her pleasant smile and wonderful service was commendable. I hope that she is recognized by Le Blanc management for the type of service that she provides. Thank you Lucinda for your excellent service...you are one of the reasons we will return for another stay!

So if you're looking for a full service, beautiful and relaxing time away; and want to spend that time on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world...Le Blanc will not disappoint. Enjoy!!
