Stayed for 10 days in a standard honeymoon suite and loved the improvements since last year! Here are the highlights of changes since our last trip: Pool lounges have new, thick cushions that are super comfy and they cover them up every night to keep them clean and dry. Rooms - although they have not yet updated the rooms, they are improving what they can in the meantime. The closet doors now have brand new full length mirrors, and the entire resort has scented toilet paper. It smells like baby powder. Not that big a deal, you think? Well, it does make the bathroom smell nice all the time. The beds are SO comfy! We meant to strip the bed to try and find out what was under the sheets, but forgot. The resort is kept immaculate, but the age is showing on the balcony doors in the rooms - some of them are very hard to open and close because the tracks are old and corroded. Also the pool is showing its age with missing/broken tiles on the pool bar stools and elsewhere. But still gorgeous overall.
Food - Improvement in the breakfast and lunch buffet - last year I complained especially about lunch because the salad buffet was boring, standard greens and add-ins. This year we had creative salads and a ceviche or similar seafood salad every day. My favorite was fresh spinach with blueberries, strawberries, and blue cheese. They still have the made-to-order omelets and hot buffet items at breakfast as well as small muffins, rolls, and fresh breads. We were fortunate to be at breakfast twice when special treats came fresh out of the oven - a mini-chocolate filled croissant one day and a fresh mini-donut the other day. Love the size of the pastries - petite so you can have one or many per your desire. Lunch still has the fresh meats/poultry/seafood selections that you give to the chef who cooks it to your liking, with any/all add-ins and spices you want. Missing from lunch buffet every day was guacamole. I know California had a problem with their crop but Mexico is the world's largest producer so I didn't understand this. I asked for it one day for lunch and it wasn't a problem to get it. At the pool, when you order a side of chips it automatically comes with guacamole and pico de gallo.
Poolside food was delicious with one exception. They cooked something special on a grill every day - this was spectacular. I had grouper ceviche twice because it was light and the flavor was amazing. However, the third time I ordered it, it was completely tasteless. I simply doctored it with guacamole and pico de gallo and it was fine. The pizzas on the third floor are awesome and their salad selection has improved.
You must go to the Chef's dinner - held on Wednesdays. Use your resort credit. It was very special - food was amazingly good and they had wine pairings. Chef had a great sense of humor - as he finished showing us how to prepare each course, a long line of waiters came out with that course hot from the kitchen and placed it in front of us. Seriously - this is not to be missed.
The only thing we were disappointed with was that even though overall the food was wonderful, since our expectations of every meal were high the bad meals were really bad. The Italian restaurant changed their menu while we were there and although we heard the scallop appetizer was not good, two of our party ordered it and had to send it back because it was raw. Plus there seemed to be a tendency to overcook grilled fish to the point of drying it out completely. My feeling is that if you got a good chef, the food would be good, but not all chefs were up to the task.
Ending on a good note - the service is spectacular! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. One day we were pursued by a butler in the lobby with cool wash cloths and water after he saw us come in from our walk. The person who is usually out there was busy, so he took it on himself to get the the wash cloths and water and run after us! But the thing we felt that we were most impressed with was the smiles - made us feel good to be there!

Room Tip: Get a room 4th floor or higher.

It's been a month since our stay and we are still remembering how great our vacation was here. First and foremost, the hard work of all of the staff is really what we both thought was above and beyond anywhere we have ever stayed. We've been fortunate to be able to travel to many places and we definitely voted LeBlanc as our favorite beach vacation. Our floor butlers Enrique and Mario were excellent. From big requests to small, they were always there with a smile, information and assistance. Our room was always clean and well supplied. Erick and Samuel made our lagoon days at the pool seem like a vacation in itself by making us feel at home, always there for a laugh and great service. Saray at the lobby bar was always smiling, fun and worked very quickly and effeciently keeping all of us not wanting for anything. Gina - so good to visit with you again this vacation and as always - thank you so much for all you do. The spa experience and our massages were also the best. We sampled lots of new foods, tried the fish spa pedicure and the list goes on and on. Thank you again Le Blance Spa Resort and can't wait to see you again (soon)! Miss you already!

Room Tip: Rooms on the lagoon side are good for afternoon sun, pool view and ocean view if you're up high...

My wife and I stayed here for 14 nights in September 2013.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we got in the taxi to the airport, the staff did everything for us.

The resort is truly breath taking.

If you want to release the baby sea turtles make sure you ask your butter to set it up for you.

I would go back in a heart beat!

If you like attention to detail and no kids around this is the place for you!!! You will want for NOTHING while you are here! They waited on us hand and foot. The restaurants were amazing! They wouldn't even let me carry my plate at the buffet! They brought me creme brulee at the pool because i wanted it!!! We went to a different resort last year for our one year anniversary and tried not to compare but when you have been to the best its hard not to! We went to secrets silver sands and will. Ever go back there despite the great reviews we really didn't like it there. WE WILL BE BACK AT LE BLANC!!! Everything was truly amazing and the staff excellent!!!!

Room Tip: I don't think you can go wrong with any room there we had a beach view which i loved!!!

This was the most luxurious and relaxing holiday we have ever had.

The service was wonderful throughout, extremely attentive without being pushy or smothering at all. I didn't think having a butler was going to be good, but turns out.... it's awesome. They're all so friendly and just sort anything out for you.

The food was fantastic as well. We left the hotel one night to eat out. Regretted that.

Beach was beautiful, but the service isn't as good as at the pool, so we became pool people!

My husband and I spent last week at LeBlanc to celebrate our 20th anniversary. This place is heaven on earth. It is a beautiful property, in a great location with excellent staff. They really went out of thier way to make our stay special. We had a honeymoon suite on the 7th floor and the view was awesome!!!! It's well worth the extra money to get the ocean front room. The food was all good, some strange but all good. We really enjoyed the Chef Dinner, French tasting menu and the upstairs pizza place. The butlers on the 7th floor were just great!!! Loved Jesus at night and Hernando (I think) in the daytime. Also loved the activities coordinator - Alfonzo. He was wonderful. The only drawback is that there isn't a lot of nightlife, which was fine for us old married folks. If you are looking for a party then LeBlanc wouldn't be for you but if your wanting a quiet & restful retreat then this is the place for you. Can't wait to go back.

Great location. Gorgeous beach area. Pool area is very clean and noise level is energetic yet not loud like the hotel next door (thank god!). The concierge, front desk, butler, bartenders, waiters are exceptionally friendly. The ONLY downside is being persuaded by Sales staff to listen to their pitch... even as a member they were NOT very nice when we decided not to upgrade. Unreasonable. Never again!
