Worst place I have ever been to! There are 4 slides only, and although they are ok at the time, get boring after the second time. The main wave pool is very dirty on the bottom, the sunbeds are falling apart with holes and bird poo all over them. The slides are very run down, in some places the railings have rust away from the walkways, and the steps are very slippery when wet, and the lazy river is quite frankly pathetic. The food is not edible in any way, steer well clear. We left after 2 hours, waste of $200! This is not just a moan, please take my word for it. The whole place is run down, trust me I'm English! :-p

We used our resort credits to purchase the combo Wet N Wild Cancun and Moon Palace Dolphin swim. As we were staying at Moon Palace, this was a convenient tour with no driving time. Instead, we took the boat from the Moon Palace pier, directly to the back of Wet N Wild. It was a great way to view the resort.

We have been to all of the Disney water parks, the Sea World water park and this does not compare. However, there were no long lines and the kids were able to go down the slides many times. Some of the stairs do look a little rusty, but still seem relatively safe, and given the humid weather, fairly expected. The included food is regular junk food, so bring some from the resort if you are going to complain. There are plenty of soda machines in case you get thirsty. There are plenty of lounge chairs and some umbrellas too. Lockers are located by the main entrance. The lazy river was fun but there were no inner tubes to be rented. However there inner tubes were provided for some of the slides. The best part about this park was meeting and talking to the locals. Everyone we met there was warm and friendly.

If you are going on the combo dolphin swim, you have to take the earlier boat back to Moon Palace, so you are only at Wet N Wild for 3.5-4 hours. This is the best part of the combo. We had previously tried the dolphin swim in Isla Mujeres, which was also fun, but during the Moon Palace dolphin swim, we spent a lot more time with the dolphins. We were actually in the water with Gigio for 45 minutes. The groups are smaller and even though you have to wait for everyone to get their pictures taken, you are kept moving around the water. Our trainer was informative and fun and wasn't solely concerned with getting good pictures. The snorkeling masks and life vests were clean, and the dolphins seemed well cared for. Also, younger children were able to swim there, as opposed to Isla Mujeres, which had an age minimum. The water is a lot calmer at Moon Palace too. It's best to inquire about age requirements for any tour booked through Palace anyway. We did buy the photo package as there were so many taken and they threw in a few extra cd's for us. Those dolphins really know how to pose!

All in all, I would recommend this combo if you are trying to use your resort credits. It was fun hanging out with the locals and getting off the property. You could also just use your credits to swim with the dolphins. I would even give up one of my free rounds of golf in order to swim with the dolphins again, but since I didn't go until the end of my trip, I didn't get a chance to book again. Make sure to check what days this is offered, as it wasn't daily.

There are three slides in the whole park, none of which are particularly thrilling.
Only bonus is that food is included in the package we had but it wasn't up to much (free so can't REALLY complain)
The only reason I can think of why this activity is not faaaaaaar lower down than it currently is (108 of 233) is that it includes a 'swim with dolphins' centre. This is not included in the entry price and as such; I didn't participate. But if swimming with dolphins in a small manufactured pool is your thing, it just might make this place bearable!

Went last week to the Wet n Wild Cancun with the family for a fun day on the water slides.

Thankfully we purchased our passes on-line at a 50% discount so it was less than $100 for all four of us for the day including all the food you could eat plus unlimited pop and beer.

As one of the oldest Wet n Wild parks it sure shows it's age. The artificial turf in front of the wave pool is literally falling apart. As you go up the stairs to the slides there is large chunks of concrete missing in the stairs (scary when going up so high) and some of the railings are so rusted that they are completely rusted out in spots with exposed jagged metal in places. Some slides were not working also. Rust was prevalent all over the park infrastructure . Many elements such as sand boxes were overgrown with weeds and other elements of the park were just falling apart. When standing on the steps for one of the slides you could feel the steps swaying in the wind.

Ownership needs to invest or just shut this park down as it is aging rapidly. Would not return.
