A pretty average place, a good 3 star (Mexican) hotel. Lots of kids, beach is good, pools are too loud (hotel cheerleaders with megaphones are annoying).

My nineteen year old daughter and I just returned from a 3 night stay at Beach Palace. I cannot say enough good things. Our room was nice, the food was good, the beach was INCREDIBLE, and our lobby bartenders, Miguel, Fidel and Victor made our stay memorable. This was my fifth trip to Mexico, third to Cancun and the Beach Palace was the best. I would highly recommend it to anyone, single, married or with a family. There is something for everyone. We had the time of our lives. Thanks to all the staff at the Beach Palace. We will return!

My family of four just got back from the beach palace and it was a nice vacation. The beach was absolutely gorgeous. The Beach palace is definetly not a five star hotel. i would say its more of a 3. The food was ok but after the 4th day you totally get sick of having the same thing for lunch and dinner. the last night we decided to go out somehere else for dinner.
The staff is wonderful and always willing to accomoadte. The free tours are ok but rushed and I was not impressed with the other palace resorts. they were all the same to me
If I were to go back I probably would not stay at another palace resort

Our stay was from 6-16-04 through 6-23-04, through Funjet Vacations. Two items to remember before you enter Mexico. We had not traveled outside the U.S., escept Canada, in a long time. When filling in the form to enter Mexico, you will be given the bottom part back. KEEP IT. You will need this to leave and second, don't talk to employees inside the aiport. They are trying to sell you timeshare plans. Vacation reps will be outside & will assist you (for a tip). Get use to that Even though our vacation was all inclusive, we spent around $150.00 in tips for our family of four. I didn't mind it, we were treated VERY well. When taken to the Beach Palace, someone will great you, sit you in the lobby, bring you a drink & check you in. If you would like to select a room, you need to do it at this time. There is "sea side" and "gulf side". We had two rooms, 1012 & 1014. I would ask for 1014. It is a two level room with a refrigerator & bar area and a large balcony overlooking both pools. From there you can enjoy all the nightly entertainment in private and being up a level, get a breeze too. If you are traveling with others, room 1012 is the same without the refrigertor and the view. The balconies connect, so it is easy to go back & forth. You will be asked to meet with a hotel rep but all they are going to do is set up tours, if they are free, and try to get you to go to the Moon Palace Hotel to listen to a timeshare presentation. We did it because we received $100.00 in "palace money" and we used it to purchase another tour, deep sea fishing. Pray for good weather. We had big waves and all six of us were sick, really sick, for three of the four hours. If we had gone any other day it would have been great. We did catch fish. The timeshare presentation was to last 90 minutes. It lasted 3 1/2 hours, allot of pressure to buy.

The hotel was more than expected. Being middle aged parents, taking two 17 year old boys, this is a great place. Enough of both age groups to meet, if you want, or just be by yourself too. All the staff treated us great. We tipped $1.00 most meals and sometimes for drinks. Always eats & drinks available. We took large coolers & had them filled, that way we didn't have to go back as often. The beach was beautiful. Being from Michigan I expected the sand to be hot but I was surprised. Being made of coral, it did not generate or hold the heat. Great for walking anytime of the day. With this being one of the Palace Hotels, we were able to go to the pools, entertainment, eat and drink at all five if we want. The Cancun Palace is around an hour walk by the beach & the Sun Palce is much farther, but the bus system was great and didn't cost much. Hope this helps. The staff did everything to make our stay great.

One other suggestion. We took the tour to Chichen-Itza, the Mayan ruins. It's an all day trip. We enjoyed it but the boys would have rather stayed at the pool. It was good for them. The bus stopped at a "susposed" flea market with Mayan things to buy. They are all fake. You can find all in the malls near the hotel. Very glad we didn't purchase anything there. It's a scam. Take fruit, chips or something else to eat. Your gone all day and will not eat until the return trip, around 3:00 PM.

the beach palaceis excellent. i am a 14 year old. if your children want to no how the beach palace is u should ask them to read this. i went to cancun aug. 8. to aug 16. very hot, it was like 100 degrees when i was there. there is a lot of kids there. when i was there i made at least 10 friends. a whole lot of teenagers.the pool and the is ocean is excellent. they always have activities in the pool. i esp. like pool volleyball. they have pool and ping-pong in the lobby. the entertainment is okay. the rooms are huge. you can fit four people in a room. there are 2 queen size beds. you want a room facing the ocean because the view is awesome. the food is a buffet except the mexican restaurant. the mexican restaurant was superb. there is a swim up bar, that is awesome to have. i met these three kids they were so cool. so if you have a kid my age he will no problem making friends. these are all the main points of the beach palace.

Just got back from a 5 day (6/10-6/15) with family, ( wife, sons 14 & 21, daughter 18). We all enjoyed the palace although weather lousy first 3 days. Hotel staff excellent in every way, all ready to serve you with a smile. Beach & pool area are nice. Drinks are probably watered down somewhat, but tasty. Food really good.
One big negative. You read that you can share all palaces at no cost. Mostly true, except a trip to the Moon will cost $34 RT taxi, max 4 people. You could go for free, but subjected to a 2hr timeshare presentation (no thanks). Next time I guess.

My husband and I stayed at Beach Palace for our 2nd trip to Cancun. The hotel is one of the smaller Palace Resorts, which was a great positive. The first time I went to Cancun, I stayed at a larger hotel, and felt there wasn't as much personal service. At Beach Palace, there were no long lines and no waiting at the bar or restaurant, and you received personal service. The staff was absolutely wonderful! They were extremely friendly and accomodating. Our room was tastefully decorated and clean, with a nice balcony. The bars were fun, with great drinks. The bartenders would gladly make the drinks stronger if you requested. Fernando in the lobby bar was wonderful! The activities staff was great, and they ensured we had a great time each day and on the nightly excursions to the different clubs in town. The hotel is very centrally located and a short walk or bus ride to clubs, souvenir shopping, etc. The food at the mexican restaurant was wonderful, and we ate there almost every night. There are other options, but the mexican restaurant was our favorite. Great place, wonderful time. Can't wait to return.
