We are an older couple who have been coming here for years. The renovation has made the rooms outstanding with the possible exception of the lack of sound proofing. We were not disturbed this trip however. The food preparation has always been good and now they are buying better quality for the cooks to work with so food is now excellent. Drinks at the restaurant bar are also excellent, at other bars it varies. We love having someone right there with drinks or a menu when we are around the pool or on the beach. The facilities are great but sometimes guests from other hotels come and make it a bit crowded, though we always found a place. Activities were fun. This hotel has the best beach of the Palace chain and its size makes it our favorite. Service by the wait staff was outstanding and personal, and no one laughed at our Spanish. They treat guests like family. We think it's best for adults and families with young children. Probably not the best place for teens. This place has spoiled us. Now when we go to a non inclusive hotel with ordinary service we feel deprived.

Here are some things to know... They will try to immediately schedule a timeshare presentation. Schedule your tours the day you get there... you have 24 hours to cancel or change them. We tried to schedule a swim with the dolphins and were told that there weren't any times left... I asked them to check again, given that the employee didn't even know when we were checking out. Well, there were several times available... be persistant and do your homework or bring a computer with you to do additional checking while you are there. There is additional person on the Mezzanine level who can also book tours, if the lobby employees are busy. You can hear everything that is being said in the hallways from the rooms... not great when the bars have closed and people are coming back. However, you can't hear from room to room. There is a dress code in two of the restaurants... men need to wear pants. We brought our two kids with us (ages 51/2 & 7 yrs), they loved it there. They really enjoyed kids club. They went there a couple of times and were able to make a few crafts and had their faces painted. The staff was very friendly and I felt comfortable leaving the kids there while my husband and I enjoyed the spa. The beach is absolutely amazing... very accessible and clean. The hotel is 18 yrs old and is beginning to show some wear, but it's still very nice. The food was good with a lot of choices. We went on the following tours: Xcaret, Xplor, Subsee and Snorkel, Dolphin Swim and Wet n Wild. All of them met or exceeded our expections, except for the Dolphin Swim through Dolphinaris and Wet n Wild. A child defacated in the pool at Wet n Wild and the lifeguard cleaned it up. That was it. I thought a pool needed to be closed/shocked. Maybe, not? The same water from that area flowed into the wave pool. There isn't much to do there and the food is terrible. My husband and kids participated in the dolphin swim at Xcaret, which was worth the money and MUCH better than the dolphin swim that I did through Dolphinaris. Bring lots of one dollar bills... everyone wants a tip. We only brought US dollars and did fine. With all of that said, we would go back, with a bit more knowledge on how things work.

Room Tip: We stayed in an ocean view room on the tenth floor and it was very nice. You can hear all of the ac...

Just returned from a week at Beach Palace. We had a family of 9, and we all agree that we would go back again. Having been to several AI resorts (Dreams, Melia, Parnassus, Cozumeleno) we also agreed that this was the best one we have been to overall. Perfect? No, but definitely a standout experience. Rooms were fantastic. Well appointed, comfortable, and exuded an overall class that we have not seen at other all inclusives. Food was consistently good, and every now and then, excellent. Service was spotty, but never bad, and a big plus was the friendliness of the staff. Pool area was clean, and we seemed able to always find some chairs. Beach is beautiful. Entertainment staff was fun and interactive but not obnoxious. Entertainment was much better here than at any other AI resort that we have been to. Great house band at night, and the Michael Jackson Tribute show was truly unbelievable. I have seen many a show in Vegas that couldn't touch it. We look forward to returning, and we have never said that before.

The hotel was OK Hotel had a great location to walk to shopping in either direction . For the money we spent, we were disappointed. We have stayed at nicer resorts for the same price.. I tried several times to contact the resort directly before my arrival. No one ever answered the phone. Rooms were not very clean, furniture in rooms and around pool needs to be updated.
Overall quality of food good. Breakfast omelets to dinner steaks or fajitas - all above average quality but same thing every day.
Overall, this resort was good. The service was good and hotel was nice and clean.

Room Tip: Take ocean view rooms, try to use all hotel credits if possible.

My family (parents in their 60's, children in their 30's) just returned from a 4th of July getaway to cancun! Our stay at Beach Palace was wonderful. BP has great service, good food, and a beautiful beach! My only complaint would be the shortage of towels and hit or miss cleaning. Some days the room was cleaned 3 times others just once. Hardly a complaint!

Stayed here last week of June. Great view of Pool and beach from my Room 712. Loved the 2 person jacuzzi beside the king Bed. Pool was good size and the beach was fabulous. The Sky Bar on the top was a great place to relax with foods and drink. Food was different at Sky Bar than Pool Bar area.
All kinds of activities around pool even movie night under the stars.
Mezz Bar on the messanine was nice for sports, pool etc.
The Italian restaurant at the hotel was top notch.

One downfall, more lounge chairs needed on pool area and beach area.
Market across the street on lagoon side made it very accessible for shopping as well. Margaretiaville and Forest Gumps acroos the street on Lagoon Side.
