“Best beach spot for kids”

The hotel is located in the best beach spot for kids in Cancun. There are no waves and the water is shallow, allowing parents to (really) relax in the beach chairs (as long as your kids have minimum height, of course). It is not so close to the restaurants, but within a walking distance. The beach service is good with snacks for a fair price. Our room was very good, clean and spacious. The fares were ok, but they charge too much for the meals. We took the fare without any meal and for us it was ok. There is a fridge in room and we made our own breakfast. Our room "without beach view" actually had great lake views with big windows.
Definitely would stay again.

This hotel is very clean and it in a great location. I tried the public transportation because I didn't rent a car and the city bus is just out side the property. There is also plaza caracol with restaurants walking distance. Customer service was Superb, defenitly I'm staying here again. Great Beach Front Hotel!!!

The room was very nice. Updated and functional. Air conditioning was superb (important in Cancun). The pool service personnel was excellent and made us forget that the beach had issues due to the hurricane.

Room Tip: Get a room in the first floor of the lower building. The terraces are great.

20 minutes for check in, service terrible, you have to check out everyday to have coffe and tea to prepare in the room. I have to fumigate my luggage before go home, the worst is that other friends also find bed bugs in their rooms.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay and we would like to thank you to bring this matter to our attention and provide the opportunity of clarify your concern about a possible bed bug bites.

Our Housekeeper Manager has deeply checked mattresses, box springs, and bed
frames, a part from that a company specialized in Insect Pest Control made a conscious
research with negative results.

It is important to mention, our property follows a severe insect control and fumigation plan in view of our worldwide company standards.

Although we never want to learn that a guest has had a bad experience, comments such as yours allow us to take an honest look at our operations.

The InterContinetal Presidente is, in my opinion, a great hotel. More so is the food. Make sure you include the breakfast in your booking, and you won't regret it: I am a breakfast-lover and the breakfast they offer at this hotel was exceptionally great. You can find practically anything you would want for breakfast.
The beach and the pool are great, too. They always keep the beach clean, and you can see the difference when comparing to the next door hotels.
All that said, just avoid that so-called "Club Presidente" in the hotel. They offer you free meal and explain to you about their program. Sounds great! But as much as they explain about their great travel offers and discounts, you would get more confused and also excited! That's when they try to sell you their membership, which is as high as they can cut from you. All that can be tolerated, but don't be surprised to find out they have already charged your credit card without your authorization! That's what happened to me, and I had to go to the hotel's staff (supervisor) to make sure they reverse the transaction, and had to make long-distance call to my bank to have my card replaced. They can ruin your whole trip. Other than that, this is a great hotel, and I'm giving it full rate, since we really had great time there, and they tried to take care of the problem when I complained.

What this property has going for it is the beach. Simply the best in Cancun. The hotel is dated, although i stayed on the 6th floor and the room was very spacious and good decor with a spectacular ocean view and comfy terrace. the employees assigned to work the Executive Lounge were extremely friendly and helpful.

I arrived quite early and was provided beach towels to enjoy the grounds until my room was available. I returned several hours later to the front desk after normal check-in time and my room was still not ready. When i questioned if they could give me another room i actually received attitude from one of the young ladies who proceeded to lecture me on how the property was at 100% occupancy and some guest had requested late check outs. A simple apology and a drink voucher at the lobby bar would have sufficed. I proceeded to sit in the lobby in plain view of the front desk and they failed to even alert me when my room was finally ready. So the front desk gets an "F" for the customer esperience. Obviously some job complascency going on.

Other than that i would consider staying at this property again for access to this beach.

Great hotel, great location, and friendly staff. Our breakfast/evening reception host, Gregorio Macias, did whatever he could do to make our stay as comfortable as possible. His hospitality, friendly smile, and willingness to help, made the overall experience at the Presidente outstanding. Way to go Gregorio and I hope you are recognized for your outstanding hospitality skills.

Room Tip: IC tower was very nice. Great ocean front view.
