“Memory of Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

We visited this beach in 1986 when the area was just starting to get tourists. Everyone back then was going to Acapulco and Cancun was brand new. The place was pristine then and literally paradise--- gorgeous water and sugar sand. I don't know if time has tarnished it. We loved going by tour boat to Isla Muheres so much that we went again by ourselves the next day on the ferry with the locals. My husband rode the turtles. I don't even know if they are still there today. It was such a glorious day with the beautiful water and sand that we didn't want to go back to our hotel in Cancun. That day on the island was one of the most beautiful days we ever had in our travels or otherwise.

“Georgeous beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2009

Beautiful water colors during daytime. Water is not deep until you get to boat section which is a big stretch. Water is very warm and calm. No tides. Perfect for kids. You cannot go to Cancun and not visit this beach. Picture worthy. It's hard to get too because you have to go through one of the hotels in front of the beach unless you go long way around the bridge. I recommend to just go through the hotel lobby.
