We really enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome. Staff was so nice and helpful. Beautiful view of beach. Spotless and wonderfully decorated. Can't imagine staying anywhere else. Cancun is also much nicer than it was 10 years ago.

Room Tip: Get the grand club on the concierge floor. Lots of perks including all you can eat light buffets inc...

We liked everything about this hotel. The location, the beach, the pool, the service. We got a suite which was spotless, very comfortable, with great view. The beach was very clean and with few people. The only thing I didn't like is that the sea is somewhat calm and I like it to have big waves. But the colors are beautiful.

The breakfast buffet is great but very expensive ($350 pesos).

The lobby smelled like a forest, which we liked very much.

Room Tip: Elevators are efficient and quick, so the biggest factor is how away you are from the central lobby...

Nice hotel with great service ! A large hotel as the others in the area but not built as a huge "block". pools are beautiful, buffet breakfast is GREAT, service is very very kind, fast, careful, and sharp. Location great because at the end of the hotel zone and close to most restaurants and bars which u have to see in cancun and right next to the ferry to isla mujeres (small one, doesn't bother at all) for an excellent day trip.

Room Tip: of course grand club are higher and bigger but we had an ocean view suite on 2nd floor with pool and...

We bought our package through COSTCO (COSTCO executive Members get Extra benefits). We updated to Junior Suite Grand Club with very reasonable price. It's worth every Penney and addressed all the bad reviews. I noticed during my research that everyone with Grand Club gave exceptional reviews so I decided to spend the extra and very glad that I did. We also received $1000 coupons that we used for Lunch, and Dinner Buffet, Romantic Dinner with SPA etc. Grand Club also include Free Internet Access, Free Gym Access, Free Continental breakfast, Free Alcoholic Drinks in the evening and O'dourves 7:00am to 9:00pm. Exceptional quality O'dourves which you will never find in All-Inclusive Hotel. Also, best pool, and beach locations/places are reserved for grand club members.
Must take advantage of the hydrotherapy SPA. Done Twice and felling like a new Man :-)
Visited Isla-mujeres. see “isla-mujeres dot n e t” for more info. All boats leave around 9 or 10am from multiple piers and return around 6pm. We have 4.5 & 1.5 yrs old sons. So we went directly to Graffon Park and left at 2:00pm which took us to Dolphin Park at no additional cost. And left Dolphin Park at 3:30pm and arrived in Cancun at 4:00pm. Graffon Park was OK. Snorkeling was not that good. Very little fish compare to Cozumel reefs. If you are really into Dive & Snorkel, I would highly recommend Palancar Reef at Cozumel. Graffon Park buffet was Ok. It may be worthy to buy the VIP buffet if you stay all day and have big appetite :-)
Hotel location is perfect for eating out and clubs. Buy grocery at OXXO. There are 3 of them within 7 minutes work. McDonalds is also 7 minutes' walk and worked of my 4.5 yrs. Following restaurants were very good as recommended by others 1) Mextreme 2) Senior Frogs (also very good fit teenagers) live band music, El Shrimp Bucket, and Calypsos. Try the Snapper and you will be happy. Loved the food in ISLA CANTOY, Breakfast Buffet, Pizza place inside the hotel.
If you want to move around a lot or drive I would recommend buying map at “cancunmap“. However, I was recommended by others not to drive since I don't speak the language and don't want to get pulled over for any traffic violation since Cops are less than honest :-)
Hotel is also very close (5 Min Walk) to all the clubs including CocoBongo. We had conversation with few folks who visited and stayed in different hotels in Cancun and they voted this hotel as the best.
Exceptional customer service in every place in the hotel and grand club. We went one week before thanksgiving. It was 30-50% occupied. Every hotel if it's 90%+ occupied, your service experience will not be pleasant. Green towels & Blue Pants representatives provided exclusive exceptional service to the Grand club members in Pool & Beach. Hotel is very secured and exclusive and does not share the beach or pool form tenants of other hotels. 20+ security stuffs roam the hotel, pool, beach area almost 24/7. I like to go the beach before sunset and enjoy the sound and wind of ocean while my family sleeps. By the way, hotel provides free tea/coffee/pastry @ hotel lobby for early birds (6:00-7:00am). Rented waver runner, Kayak, bought Isla tour from Toni (by the hotel beach) and was very happy. We did not visit any of the parks (X-Caret-45 miles)/Xel Ha-75 miles)/Tulum-80 Miles)/Chichen Itza-120 miles) due to small kids. Planning to go to Xcarta next time based on local recommendation. Each of the park offers little different so plan based on your kids age and what they enjoy. Also, did not go for a Golf cart tour in Isla since kids got tired...Saved it for Next visit.. By the way, if you planning to consume lot of alcohols without spending money during your vacation, this hotel may not be good fit for you. Keep lot of $1-$5 bill. Please pay at least $1-2 tips for your service. We had servers even convinced the chef to cook fried chicken strip and Fries for my son even though they were not in the menu. It takes very small price to make them very very happy and go the extra mile for you. Same people will server you everyday and you will have an enjoyable stay. We charged our credit card wherever possible and got very good exchange rate. Make sure to call the credit card company in inform about your trip in advance before your travel. We will be a happy to answer your query by e-mail. Enjoy your vacation.

Room Tip: Grad Clubs are in 10 & 11th Floor. Book 11th Floor West Side (renovation work ongoing in East Si...

My husband and I stayed here a few years ago before we were married. We actually loved it so much, we convinced my brother in law to have his wedding party stay here as well. Our first stay, we had an incredible upgrade to a beautiful room with a giant terrace. The views were unparalleled. We have stayed at the Ritz before and The Grand Coral Beach outshines it by miles if you're looking to be outside most of the time and able to swim in the beach with your kids. We tend to gravitate toward more modern or luxury hotels with a good crowd of families and those looking for a special experience. No one has a more beautiful and calm beach on the strip than the Grand Coral. If you have children or just love to swim, this is the place. The staff attention is incredible and considerate. Yes the sun does shade after 2, but you can still play and relax by the beach without fuss or venture inside to take a nap and have snack. Every detail is taken care of and they really go out of their way to make it special. It's all about service. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.

We're now married, 7 years, and have a 5 year old and I'm pregnant with our second and will be staying in the Junior Suite Grand Club. We've decided to escape the NYC cold this weekend and head back to this gem. At the time of our first visit, I didn't get to see the spa, but I hear it is elegant and one of the best spas on the in the area. I also highly recommend the Rosewood Mayakoba if you are looking for something special. We practically lived there twice every year with our son and during my first pregnancy. Grand Coral is up there with special experiences in what could potentially be an area filled with too much noise, tourists, and commercialism. It's truly a special getaway. Will report back on our experience soon!

Room Tip: Don't skimp and stay at the Grand Club it's worth every penny! Request a quiet room on a hig...
