Description: Inspired on the culture, architecture and mainly on the Indian gastronomy, Elefanta restaurant was created. Bringing a bit of the magic and misticism of this place, in fusion with a modern city, the Elefanta Indian Cuisine concept was originated. With the service of our chef, Basant Kumar and other indian borned members of this team, we offer an exotic culinary delight, in a very authentic and special place. The restaurant has two tandoor ovens, typical from India, that brings to your palate the unique and exquisite flavors from our kitchen.

Surprisingly good indian food in a beautiful location where you can watch the sun set while you get your curry on.

Restaurant setting is beautiful .The restaurant is hidden behind the new beautiful extension of La Isla right on the lagoon. You can sit in your own hut which opens directly up to the lagoon- to watch the sunset. It is so romantic. .The food is good and service is excellent.Highly recommend a visit here.

We were really impressed with this restaurant, we were set out overlooking the lagoon at sunset it was absolutely beautiful. The food and service were impeccable. I had a vindaloo which actually wasn't as spicy as I thought it was going to be which was lovely and full of flavor. We got pompadoms and chutneys to start, both got a main and rice each plus a garlic nan bread, bottle of water and a beer; all this came to around £45.

Fantastic food and service in a beautiful location. The menu was varied and interesting and when the food arrived, it really was outstanding.

Hint...ask the staff about Pancito the crocodile :-)

Do you want to have wonderful Indian Food? Do you want your food served by gracious waiters with a smile and caring attitude? Do you want all of that overlooking the lagoon in Cancun with charm? This is the place!!! I ate here on my own last May and loved it, and so my my family of 6 ( our 4 kids - ages 14, 17, 19 and 22) and hubby and I enjoyed another meal here last week.
The setting is amazing. You are over-looking the lagoon, and during sunset it is incredible. The restaurant supplies you with needed bug-spray! The restaurant's design is clever, and beautiful and the food in wonderful.
You have to walk through almost a maze of halls inside the Isla Mall to get to it, but hunt it down - it's worth it! When we went - the mall was under some construction, but there is signage put up by the restaurant- if you look for it.
If they can please 4 kids and parents, they are doing something right! The choice of naan bread pleased all of us. The rice is done perfectly, and the Chicken Tikka was a hit with all of us! If you love Indian food, this will be a real treat for you. If you are not sure about Indian Food, just give it a try! The ambience alone is worth it!
