We stumbled on this place completely by accident as it is down a dirt path and the sign is not very large. Very glad we took the path. This was the best meal we had during our week in Cancun. I had fish grilled in garlic butter cooked perfectly. My boyfriend had surf and turf which looked amazing and he loved it. The atmosphere was perfect, looking out at the ocean from a deck on the beach. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates good food served in a lovely romantic setting.

“Coco's and Grill-for good food value and unique dining experience”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

The captain and servers were great to us and the food was so good. Had Marlin Dip (spread) as an appetizer. YUM! It was creamy deliciousness served with crackers and chips. Both of us had Octopus - prepared differently. My husband had the Octopus with ajillo oil (spicy) and mine was prepared with garlic and oil or butter. Octopus were sautéed pieces, not a slab or steak, served with toasted bread (like italian style bread). The octopus was tender and good quality. There may have been veggies and mashed potatoes, but I cannot remember. The octopus was SO good and reasonably priced. We had many drinks/beer, 1 appetizer, 2 dinners and didn't spend more than $70. Our typical bill dining out at other places during the week ranged from $90-130 with tip. Great romantic ambience on ocean beach. Easy to get to on bus line. There are four tables inside the entrance and many more on the beach. Was one of our favorite restaurants for sure! The captain asked us how we liked our food and if we had any recommendations. We told him that the Marlin dip was amazing and we thought that serving it with bread would be even better.

I would recommend going after dark for best ambience. The setting is casual and the lighting makes it really romantic. At 9:20 fireworks are shot off of the party boats that are within sight of the marina. Also - loved the waiters, but they are not as fluent in English as some at other popular places. No problem with us, after all, we were in Mexico.

Perfect directions from our concierge at Westin Lagunamar: Take bus to Tempatations Resort. Get off bus and walk a block or so more and you will see Cocos and Grill sign. Go down a dirt driveway (not more than a block). At first we were confused by the sign by the pool but we went to the restaurant ahead and it was Coco's and Grill. The captain told us it has only been open for in evening for dinner for less than 1 year and also that they serve til midnight. I would call to check on that before heading over there though.

The atmosphere, service, portions and quality of food was outstanding.
Would HIGHLY recommend whilst visiting Cancun.
Must try their whipped/mashed potatoes and suggest the pasta and shrimp.

“Just delicious!”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

This was my second time in cancun, last time i went fishing at "marina chachi" yatch club and i discovered there was a beautiful restaurant in the facilities, but i didn't have enought time to tried, so this time i went just for dinner.
There are no words to describe the taste of the "Pescado Enamorado" it means Fish in love just see the picture or try to imagine the taste o a fresh fish fillet (the catch of the day) with Brie chesse and strawberry sauce, great for dinner, excellent service and live music.
Highly recomended!

“Lovely spot, friendly and gracious”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Stumbled upon Cocos & Grill while looking for charter fishing (at Marina Chac Chi, Blvd Kukulcan K.M.3.2, next to Q-Bay Hotel). It had the authentic Mexico atmosphere and food we were looking for. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Romantic atmosphere, great soft breezes, right on the beach; lanterns on every table. Hugo and Luis were very gracious. For $10 they cooked the fish we had caught while deep sea fishing - delicious. We would definitely return.
