we loved La Parroquia... one of the beast meals in Mexcio. I remember those crunchy shrimps with coconut and excellent apetisers. I would definetly recomend this place.

“Great food at budget prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2013

This place was recommended by our hotel clerk, and is definitely worth a visit. They serve a great comida del dia (fixed price afternoon meal) for 68 pesos. Comes with soup, your choice of one of two entrees, dessert or fresh fruit, and cold beverage. My hubby had their chicken fajitas served with white rice and refried black beans, along with a stack of freshly made tortillas. I had their panuchos, the Yucatecan version of tostadas. We washed our meals down with a goblet of agua de limon (lemonade) and jamaica (a refreshing drink steeped from hibiscus flowers). Saw them serve a beautiful fresh fruit platter to a neighboring table.Their menu is quite ample and their prices are quite reasonable. So, if you're looking for a casual, inexpensive eatery, give this place a try. I know we'll be going back! Oh, and open 24 hours, too.

“24 hours of good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

We had lunch here after a long morning of site seeing. Situated near the central plaza, this restaurant was recommended to us by the trolley staff. It was big and airy. There were big murals on the wall and they alone were worth the visit. Quite a large menu with mainly Mexican dishes all at reasonable prices. The daily special of soup, main course, juice, dessert and coffee was tasty and very well priced. The restaurant was obviously popular as a lunch spot with local business people. It was open 24 hours, but we never took advantage of all that. Oh yes, very friendly and efficient staff.

“Very popular”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2012

Really not the best in town. Coconut schrimps not very tasteful. Prices higher than what they should be. Always open. 24hrs. In the city center. Atmosphere poor and sad. Noisy television on. Lime juice good but that would be the only positive thing. Clean. Don't try the lime soup. We would not suggest it.
