This Casa is the city's cultural center. The building goes back to Borda himself who revived Taxco when he discovered silver in the 18th century and started a second silver boom. Today art, music, and other cultural events all are centered in this building. Walk through it and you will find some classrooms, hear piano music, and discover some art exhibits. Take a look through the front windows and there is the Zocalo or town square. If there is anything going on in Taxco you can find out about it here. Plus the building is interesting enough just to walk through and see what's all there. Nothing fanastic but a nice old piece of architecture in the middle of town.
