My wife and I stayed here in March and had an excellent time. From the moment we arrived until the day we left we well taken care of by the extremely helpful and friendly staff.

We arrived later than expected on a Friday night due to heavy traffic leaving Mexico City. When we did arrive they were waiting for us with our room key and we were in our room in less than 5 minutes. We asked if the restaurant was still open and they told us that it was, but I honestly think that they were ready to close for the night. The menu items looked excellent but we did not want to eat a full meal so we asked if it was possible for the chef to make us a couple of sandwiches. They were more than happy to oblige and the sandwiches were great.

For the next few days we felt completely pampered by the staff. The hotel feels like you are staying at a close friend's home. The food was fantastic, the pool area is great and the view of Taxco is awesome. We plan on staying here the next time we travel to Taxco.

And Taxco is a wonderful place to visit. Beautiful sites, friendly people and excellent food makes Taxco a must see for anyone visiting Mexico.

Me and my husband spent 4 nights in March 2014 in this beautiful hotel. To begin with the view from the hotel is magic. It is situated on top of Monte Taxco and you have a fantastic view over the city. The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated and the staff is very nice, helpful and attentive. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel and the food was delicious , a perfect blend of mexican and international food. Even the drinks were great , they did perfect margaritas and always made and served with a warm smile. The great staff in the reception even helped us to get a a custom made silver bracelet . We did spend 2 months in Mexico and this was the best and most beautiful hotel we stayed at . Thank you Edelmira and all of your staff.

Room Tip: The hotel have 9 rooms and it feels like living in a small palace , some rooms are bigger our rooms was the green suite , not the most expensive , but still very nice and spacious.

The property is located above Taxco on a steep hill with a spectacular view of the city. It has beautiful grounds and is sited so as to take maximum advantage of the view. Architecturally it is quite stunning from the exterior, but a bit awkward and confusing inside. The rooms are well sized, but poorly furnished(think IKEA). Ours had a forlorn mini fridge on the floor in the corner, and they possibly ran out of money before they could get hairdryers.
Reception was friendly and efficient. F&B was a complete disaster, from pleasant but clueless waiters to a kitchen that produced more noise than food. Our quickest meal took 45 minutes to appear, and overall the quality was mixed, varying from excellent to inedible. It was also extremely expensive.
For relaxing around the pool and enjoying the view, it's OK as long as you eat elsewhere

The hotel has an amazing location high above Taxco, so you could spend your whole trip pool side just looking out over the city. The staff is very friendly and eager to make your stay comfortable. Taxco is a great weekend trip from Mexico City, and after spending the day strolling the town coming back to this secluded hotel is very peaceful.
