This was a delightful experience! We stayed in San Cristobal 4 days and we ended up coming back every day either for breakfast or dinner.
Ricardo and Carmen, the owners, were absolutely wonderful. In more than one occasion they made a fresh "less spicy salsa" for my friend's enchiladas. We literally saw the organic vegetables arrived at the restaurant to prepare our meal.
I would recommend this restaurant to any connoisseu pallet. You will love the experience! I guarantee it.
Gracias Carmen y Ricardo for such a wonderful experience.

Well firstly don't trust trip advisors directions as it will lead u the wrong way. The written address is correct though!
As for the restaurant the manager was amazing, he explained in English the ideology of bebil and what each if the meals entailed.
The food was delicious and the whole night was a great experience, definitely well worth a visit!!

A great meal, made better by the suggestions Ricardo made. He seemed to have an instinct for what would best suit each of us. The chile relleno was very well prepared, and my husband´s pork was also delicious. The soup, made of a local vegetable, was great - something I had never tried before. Service was friendly and it´s nice to know that you are supporting a great local cause. Highly recommended.

I went here based on the wonderful reviews and wasn't disappointed. The meal was tasty and fresh. I am vegetarian (mostly) and there were several tasty options to choose from. Check it out for a quality meal.

Ricardo and Carmen, who run this restaurant, have been working with indigenous people for 25 years, specialising in human rights and women's rights. This restaurant is an off shoot of that work as they source locally grown organic vegetables and involve the producers and teach cooking also. The food is delicious and Ricardo describes the local specialities which are cooked by Carmen. The restaurant was very quiet when we visited at the end of May but because of that we benefitted from much discussion about the owners' work, met their 2 children and celebrated the 18th birthday of their assistant, Celina. It is situated in the street parallel to the busy international pedestrian street, Real de Guadalupe, about 50 metres from our hotel, Casa Vieja.
